Semien went 1-for-4 with one homer, one RBI and one run scored in Thursday's 4-0 victory over the Athletics.

Semien launched a sixth-inning slider 421 feet for his seventh homer of the season. The Rangers' second baseman is tied for fifth in MLB with 31 RBI on the season despite hitting in the leadoff spot. Semien is rolling in May with a slash line of .364/.475/.545.

Sosa is starting at second base and hitting ninth for the White Sox on Thursday in Kansas City.

It's his third start since he was recalled a week ago. Sosa has just one hit in 11 at-bats over that span as he continues to scuffle at the dish with the big club.

Andrus is absent from the White Sox' lineup Thursday in Kansas City.

The veteran infielder will grab some pine while Lenyn Sosa gets the start at second base. Andrus is sporting a lowly .206/.286/.260 slash line this season.

Trejo went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a steal in Wednesday's win over Pittsburgh.

Trejo tied the game 3-3 in the fourth inning with an RBI single before notching his second stolen base, setting a career high. The 27-year-old has been swinging the bat well, going 8-for-19 with five RBI in his last six games. He's now slashing .264/.284/.333 with five doubles, six runs scored and nine RBI while primarily coming off the bench for Colorado.

Semien went 2-for-5 with a home run and two RBI in Wednesday's 4-3 win over the Mariners.

His third-inning solo shot off Luis Castillo got the Rangers on the board, and his sixth-inning RBI single proved to be the game-winning hit. Semien has had a fantastic start to his second campaign with Texas, slashing .290/.377/.476 with six homers, five steals, 30 runs and 30 RBI through 36 games.

Vargas went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run in Wednesday's 8-1 win over the Brewers.

He took Wade Miley deep in the sixth inning to help chase the veteran southpaw from the game. Vargas has had a slow start to 2023 due to the broken finger he suffered in spring training, but he appears to be getting comfortable at the plate -- the 23-year-old has homered in back-to-back games, with three of his four long balls on the year coming in the last eight contests.

Massey went 3-for-4 with a solo homer, a double and two RBI in Wednesday's win over the White Sox.

Massey took Lance Lynn deep to lead off the fourth inning as part of a three-hit effort. It was his first three-hit performance of the season and his first home run of the campaign as well. Wednesday's showing was a nice boost for the 25-year-old, who has struggled overall with a slash line of .222/.373/.283 with four extra base hits, 10 RBI, nine runs and a 6:37 BB:K over 110 plate appearances.

Hoerner (hamstring) remains out of the lineup Wednesday versus the Cardinals, Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reports.

Hoerner has been doing baseball activities and is expected to avoid the injured list, but he'll miss a second straight game after suffering a mild left hamstring strain in Monday's series opener versus St. Louis. Nick Madrigal is starting at second base and batting leadoff Wednesday against the Cardinals and left-hander Jordan Montgomery.

Gorman is out of the lineup Wednesday against the Cubs.

Gorman belted his eighth home run of the year in the Cardinals' defeat of the Cubs on Tuesday, but Tommy Edman will play second base and Willson Contreras will serve as the designated hitter in Wednesday's tilt versus the Cubs and lefty Justin Steele.

Donovan is not in the lineup Wednesday versus the Cubs.

Donovan drew a walk and drove in a run Tuesday while also making a couple of excellent plays in left field, but he'll ride the pine Wednesday with left-hander Justin Steele on the mound for Chicago. Juan Yepez is in left and Tommy Edman is covering second base.
