Tommy Edman 2B | LAD
Cardinals' Tommy Edman: Cleared to begin baseball activity
Edman (wrist) was cleared by a doctor Monday to begin baseball activities, Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat reports.
It's certainly good news, although Edman will basically be re-starting the equivalent of a spring training ramp-up from square one, so it will be a while before he returns. That's assuming things go well with the ramp-up, of course, which was not the case previously. Victor Scott has been filling in for Edman in center field but is off to just a 3-for-36 start at the plate.

India (leg) has been scratched from Monday's lineup against the Brewers, Mark Sheldon of MLB.com reports.

Reds' Jonathan India: Remains in Monday's lineup
Manager David Bell said India remains in the lineup for Monday's game against the Brewers despite suffering an unspecified injury during batting practice, Mark Sheldon of MLB.com reports.
India appeared to get struck by a ball while some teammates were taking batting practice, but it's apparently not a serious injury. There remains a chance the 27-year-old is scratched closer to first pitch, but for now he's still penciled in to bat leadoff as the designated hitter.

Reds' Jonathan India: Injured during pregame
India suffered an apparent injury during batting practice ahead of Monday's game versus the Brewers, Charlie Goldsmith of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
India was standing in foul territory while others were taking BP and it's possible he was struck by a ball before walking off the field with the trainer. According to Goldsmith, India returned to the field to take some BP himself, though it's unclear if that means he'll be available. He had been set to serve as the Reds' designated hitter and leadoff man Monday, but it's now possible he gets scratched.

Edouard Julien 2B | COL
Twins' Edouard Julien: Sitting versus lefty

Bae (hip) began a rehab assignment with Low-A Bradenton on Sunday.

Nolan Gorman 2B | STL
Cardinals' Nolan Gorman: Goes deep twice
Gorman went 2-for-4 with two home runs and three RBI in Sunday's loss to the Marlins.
Gorman was the only source of run support for the Cardinals in a game that got ugly for them very quick. The 24-year-old showed off his raw power, sending both home runs 400-plus feet to center field, awarding fantasy managers who patiently waited for his bat to get going after just two extra-base hits in his first 33 at-bats of the year. The 24-year-old slugger is hitting .222/.300/.444 with a concerning 42.5 strikeout rate early on.

Marlins' Luis Arraez: Four hits in win
Arraez went 4-for-5 with a triple and three runs scored in Sunday's win over the Cardinals.
Arraez's bat finally got going after he entered Sunday's action hitting just .194 through nine games. It was his 14th career 4-hit game though he is still in search of his first RBI on the season. Arraez has scored nine runs while batting atop the Marlins' order, which is currently tied for ninth best in baseball.

Brendan Rodgers 2B | BOS
Rockies' Brendan Rodgers: Gets Sunday off
Rodgers is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rays.
Alan Trejo will pick up the start at second base while Rodgers rests for the second time in the Rockies' first 10 games of the season. Over 35 plate appearances to date, Rodgers is hitting .147 with no extra-base hits, no stolen bases, no RBI and four runs.

Frazier is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the White Sox, Joel Goldberg of Bally Sports Kansas City reports.
