Lowe is not in the lineup Saturday against the Angels, Neil Solondz of the Rays Radio Network reports.

He is hitting .341/.400/.634 with three home runs and 11 strikeouts in 11 games this month. Joey Wendle, who was recently activated from the injured list, is starting at second base and hitting ninth.

Altuve (hamstring) went 0-for-4 while playing seven innings at second base for Triple-A Round Rock on Friday.

Altuve started a new rehab assignment after his first stint was halted due to fatigue in his leg. He'll take Saturday off before playing back-to-back games Sunday and Monday, per Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle. The possibility exists that Altuve returns to the Astros in time for next weekend's four-game set against the Yankees.

Chavis went 2-for-5 with a home run, three RBI, a walk and two runs scored Friday against the Orioles.

Chavis put together an impressive day at the dish, driving home a run in the fourth inning on a single to left center, and then launching a two-run homer in the fifth to extend Boston's lead to nine. The 23-year-old continues to have a solid rookie campaign, and he's now slashing .253/.341/.478 with 12 home runs and 34 RBI over 50 contests.

Hernandez isn't in Friday's starting lineup against the Cubs, J.P. Hoornstra of the Los Angeles Daily News reports.

Hernandez will head to the bench after reaching base safely in each of his last four games. Max Muncy shifts to the keystone, allowing for Matt Beaty to draw a start at first base.

Altuve (hamstring) will play seven innings at Triple-A Round Rock on Friday, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Altuve successfully ran the bases and made it through an on-field workout Tuesday, and he's since been given the green light to get at-bats in the minors. After playing seven innings Friday night, he'll get Saturday off and then play in back-to-back games, per Rome. If all goes according to plan, Altuve is expected to remain with the Express for 4-to-5 days before returning from the injured list, which would put him on track to be activated either Tuesday or Wednesday of next week.

Lowe is not in the lineup for Friday's game versus the Yankees, Juan Toribio of MLB.com reports.

Lowe will head to the bench as left-hander CC Sabathia takes the mound for New York. Joey Wendle (wrist) will make his return from the injured list and start at the keystone Friday.

Forsythe went 1-for-3 with a walk and two RBI in Thursday's 7-6 loss to the Red Sox.

Ronald Guzman took a seat against Boston left-hander David Price, so the right-handed hitting Forsythe took over at first base. The move by manager Chris Woodward was a prescient one, as Forsythe drilled a two-run single as part of the Rangers' four-run first inning. The single snapped a string of 17 at-bats without a hit for Forsythe, who has settled into a backup role since injured starters returned to action. He's appeared in eight of the last 15 games, with six of them starts.

Torres went 2-for-3 with with a walk and a run scored in the Yankees' 5-4 loss to the White Sox on Thursday.

Torres missed a couple games with a sore shoulder last week, but he's rattled off a multi-hit effort in back-to-back games, so he looks healthy and back on track at the dish. The 22-year-old infielder has done the majority of his damage against the Orioles this season, with 10 of his 14 long balls coming against the Yankees' divisional foes, but his overall numbers are still solid, as he's slashing .284/.336/.517 through 236 at-bats.

Miller went 2-for-4 with a double and a pair of runs for Double-A Amarillo on Thursday.

Miller continues to hit well in his first season in Double-A, as he's now slashing .296/.354/.424 with six homers and 34 RBI through 250 at-bats. Top prospect Luis Urias is expected to get called up to the Padres from Triple-A El Paso sometime this month, which could open up a spot for Miller to move up, as Urias has been getting a lot of time at shortstop for the Chihuahuas.

Edwards went 2-for-4 with a double, an RBI and three runs for Low-A Fort Wayne on Thursday.

Edwards has cooled a little bit since his blazing hot start to the season for the TinCaps that at one point saw him hitting .378, but not by much. This multi-hit effort brings the 19-year-old's slash line up to .349/.402/.410 through 229 at-bats as he continues to toy with Midwest League pitching. He has little left to prove in Low-A, although his youth and lack of power (he still has yet to homer at the professional level) could mean the Padres will wait at least a little while longer before bumping him up a level.
