Semien went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in a win over the Yankees on Friday.

Semien launched a 428-foot shot to left field in the ninth, extending the Athletics' lead to 7-2 at the time. The homer was Semien's third in the last five games, and his eighth overall during a very successful August. Friday's round tripper brought Semien to within just two home runs of the career-high 27 he launched in 2016, while all three components of his .276/.359/.496 line qualify as career bests.

Dubon will make his debut at shortstop Saturday against the Padres, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Dubon has started consecutive games at the keystone -- the position he will be stationed at primarily down the stretch -- but the natural shortstop will spell Brandon Crawford against a southpaw Saturday. The 25-year-old has gone 1-for-7 in his first two starts in San Francisco, but his power/speed combo (20 homers and 10 steals in the minors this year) makes him an intriguing fantasy middle infielder as long as he retains regular playing time.

Albies went 4-for-5 with two doubles, two runs scored and an RBI in Friday's 10-7 win over the White Sox.

The second baseman has been having a rough month. This was Albies' first multi-hit performance since Aug. 10, and he slashed just .138/.222/.246 in 16 games between those efforts. Given how streaky he is -- he slashed .403/.442/.750 in the 16 games prior to his slump -- Friday's breakout could be a sign Albies is gearing up for a big September, however.

Rojas went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run, a walk and another run scored in Friday's win over the Dodgers.

Rojas drilled his first major-league home run with a two-run shot off Casey Sadler in the seventh inning to tie the game at 4-4. Over 14 games, Rojas is batting .205/.295/.308 and should continue to see playing time against right-handed pitchers.

Chavis (shoulder) was scratched from the second game of Friday's doubleheader during his rehab stint due to right side soreness, Christopher Smith of MassLive.com reports.

Chavis slugged a pair of home runs in Game 1 of the doubleheader, but he was unable to go for the nightcap. It's unclear if this setback will impact his timetable for a return.

Rodriguez went 2-for-4 with a double, a home run, two runs scored and two RBI in Friday's 13-5 loss to the Twins.

His eighth-inning solo shot off Sam Dyson was too little, too late for the Tigers, but it did give Rodriguez 11 homers through 67 games in the majors this year. His .228/.254/.461 slash line is less impressive, however, and while the 27-year-old is a fixture in the starting lineup right now due to an injury to Niko Goodrum (groin), Rodriguez is likely ticketed for a utility role next season.

Marte is out of Friday's lineup as a precaution due to his right hamstring issue, Nick Piecoro of The Arizona Republic reports.

Marte was pulled from Thursday's game after feeling something around the area where he experienced the hamstring cramp earlier in the week, and manager Torey Lovullo isn't taking any chances. It's unclear if the 25-year-old will be available off the bench, but he should be considered day-to-day for now.

Joseph went 1-for-4 with a double, an RBI foul out and a bases-loaded walk in a win over the Royals on Thursday.

Joseph had one of the more interesting multi-RBI performances you'll see, with his foul popup in the ninth inning bringing home Seth Brown after the Royals' Cheslor Cuthbert landed in the Athletics' dugout when making the catch, allowing each runner to advance a base by rule. The 30-year-old Joseph is hitting just .189 (7-for-37) since being called up Aug.14, but he has driven in five runs and has three extra-base hits (two doubles, one home run) over his first 11 games.

Forsythe is not in the lineup Friday against the Mariners.

Forsythe has hit an awful .130/.175/.130 over his last 16 contests. Danny Santana starts at first base Friday, with Nick Solak at third.

Marte is not in the lineup for Friday's game against the Dodgers.

Marte made a late exit Thursday once Arizona had a big lead, but there's been no official indication that he's nursing an injury. The 25-year-old was dealing with a right hamstring cramp earlier in the week but had remained in the starting nine until Friday. Jarrod Dyson receives the start in center field while Adam Jones takes over in right.
