Hernandez (hamstring) went 1-for-4 in Tuesday's 8-0 loss to the Blue Jays.

Hernandez was activated off the injured list and immediately placed in the starting lineup. He was in center field and slotted in at his customary leadoff spot.

Marte (hamstring) went 2-for-3 with a walk and two RBI in a rehab appearance for Triple-A Reno on Tuesday, Jose M. Romero of the Arizona Republic reports.

Diamondbacks assistant general manager Amiel Sawdaye said Marte felt good following the first game of his rehab stint, which suggests he won't need too many games before he's ready to rejoin the major-league club.

Lux went 2-for-4 with a grand slam in a win over Arizona on Tuesday.

Lux broke open a close game with a bases-loaded blast in the bottom of the seventh inning off reliever Kevin Ginkel. The grand slam was the first of his big-league career. Lux has been heating up at the plate of late, going 10-for-25 with two homers and 10 RBI over his past seven games.

Gimenez was optioned to Triple-A Columbus on Tuesday, Mandy Bell of MLB.com reports.

The 22-year-old began the season as the primary shortstop for Cleveland, but he started only one of the past five games and will make his way to Triple-A. Gimenez has posted a .179/.226/.308 slash line and 29.4 percent strikeout rate through 85 plate appearances this season.

Biggio (neck) was moved to DH for Tuesday's game against the Red Sox, Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet.ca reports.

The neck soreness is making it difficult for Biggio to throw, according to manager Charlie Montoyo. The issue appears to be minor, but it's yet to be seen whether the infielder's hitting will suffer as well from the neck soreness.

Torres (illness) is joining the team in Texas and could be activated from the COVID-19 injured list Wednesday, Lindsey Adler of The Athletic reports.

The 24-year-old has been sidelined since testing positive for COVID-19 last week, but he was cleared by the joint committee and is traveling to join the Yankees on Tuesday. It appears likely Torres will be back for Wednesday's matchup with the Rangers, barring any setbacks.

Arroyo (hand) is taking batting practice with Triple-A Worcester on Tuesday, Chris Cotillo of The Springfield Republican reports.

This news is a positive sign, as it comes just four days after Arroyo couldn't take batting practice due to hand pain. The Red Sox will determine the next step of Arroyo's rehab after he hits with the Triple-A squad Tuesday. There's no guarantee the second baseman returns to Boston upon fully recovering from the hand injury, but before landing on the injured list, he was giving the team more than it's gotten from his replacement, Michael Chavis.

Hernandez was performing well at the plate before landing on the injured list May 7. Specifically, the 29-year-old drew three walks in his last two starts after walking just five times total in April. Hernandez's impressive defensive versatility should keep him in the lineup on a near-daily basis going forward, assuming good health.

Diaz is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Phillies, Joe Frisaro of ManOnSecondBaseball.com reports.

Jazz Chisholm's recent return from the injured list looks like it will spell the end of Diaz's run as an everyday player at second base. The 24-year-old will remain on hand as a utility infielder for now, but since he could still benefit from some development time, the Marlins could send Diaz to Triple-A Jacksonville in the near future.

India will start at second base and bat sixth Tuesday against the Giants.

Shortly after his return from a brief stay on the COVID-19 injured list earlier this month, India appeared to have lost hold of the everyday role at second base, as Nick Senzel had started to get more work at the position. India's playing time has been back on the rise over the last week, however, as he'll be making his sixth start in a row Tuesday after going 5-for-17 with a pair of home runs, three walks and a stolen base over the previous five contests. India has benefited from Mike Moustakas (heel) missing the last three of those games, so the 24-year-old won't be a lock to stick in the everyday lineup once the veteran is cleared to return.
