Hernandez (hamstring) will be activated from the injured list prior to Tuesday's game against Toronto, Chris Cotillo of The Springfield Republican reports.

Hernandez hit .239/.298/.425 in 30 games before straining his hamstring in early May. He appeared in a pair of rehab games over the weekend and looked ready to go, hitting two homers. The veteran utilityman had a near-everyday role prior to the injury, spending most of his time in center field, so he should reclaim that spot going forward, pushing Alex Verdugo back to left.

Dubon went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in Monday's 6-3 win over Cincinnati.

The 26-year-old went deep off Cincinnati reliever Carson Fulmer in the sixth inning. Dubon doesn't have an everyday job, but he's hit safely in seven of his last eight games, going 9-for-20 (.450) in that span. He's come off the bench in four of those contests. The infielder has a .241/.289/.361 slash line with two homers, 10 RBI, five runs scored and a stolen base through 90 plate appearances.

Mendick went 1-for-4 with a walk, a home run and five RBI in Monday's 16-4 rout of the Twins.

His fifth-inning grand slam off Derek Law got the White Sox to double-digit runs on the night. Mendick was just 2-for-14 in May coming into Monday, although one of the knocks was his other homer of the year, but his versatility should continue to get him semi-regular playing time as the team tries to piece together a roster currently missing four key contributors.

Mayfield was optioned to Triple-A Tacoma on Monday.

Mayfield spent the weekend on the Mariners' active roster but failed to get into a game. He'll head back to the minors now, with Brady Lail joining the roster in a corresponding move.

McNeil (hamstring) was placed on the 10-day injured list Monday.

McNeil exited Sunday's loss to the Rays with left hamstring tightness, but he's now been diagnosed with a strain after he underwent an MRI. It's not yet clear when he'll be able to return, but Johneshwy Fargas' contract was selected and Khalil Lee was recalled as part of the transaction.

Lowe went 1-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional run scored in a win over the Mets on Sunday.

Lowe's 375-foot laser to right in the sixth inning answered Patrick Mazeika's own solo shot in the visitor's half of the frame and restored the Rays' lead to four runs. Lowe is still slashing an unacceptable .195/.305/.391 for the season, but he's now hit in four straight games, also rapping out a double in addition to Sunday's homer and drawing three walks over that span.

Guillorme (oblique) hasn't been cleared to resume swinging a bat during his rehab program, Tim Healey of Newsday reports.

Based on where he currently stands in his recovery from a right oblique strain, Guillorme is realistically at least a week away from returning from the 10-day injured list. When the Mets are at full strength, Guillorme typically functions mostly as a late-inning defensive replacement off the bench, but his absence looms larger now that four everyday players -- Michael Conforto (hamstring), Jeff McNeil (hamstring), Brandon Nimmo (finger) and J.D. Davis (hand) -- are also on the 10-day injured list.

Kim went 0-for-2 with a pair of walks, an RBI and a stolen base Sunday in a victory over the Cardinals.

Kim wasn't able to notch any hits in the contest, but he still made a contribution on the scorecard. He drew a based-loaded walk in the fourth inning to bring home a run and added a stolen base after another walk in the eighth. The 25-year-old has three steals on the campaign but has struggled to a .190/.247/.286 slash line.

The Red Sox optioned Arauz to Triple-A Worcester on Monday.

Boston will wait until Tuesday to announce a corresponding roster move, but Arauz's demotion likely signals that Enrique Hernandez (hamstring) will be reinstated from the 10-day injured list ahead of Tuesday's series opener versus the Blue Jays. Arauz appeared in four games during his week-long stint with the big club, going 2-for-8 with a double, two walks, two runs and an RBI.

The Mets plan to place McNeil on the 10-day injured list Monday with a left hamstring strain, Deesha Thosar of the New York Daily News reports.

McNeil left Sunday's game against the Rays with what was originally called left hamstring tightness, but an MRI revealed an injury serious enough to sideline him for at least 10 days. Exactly how much time he'll miss remains unclear. The Mets are rather beat up at the moment and are also without infielders J.D. Davis (hand) and Luis Guillorme (oblique). Jonathan Villar has already moved into a starting role at third base, so Jose Peraza should fill in for McNeil at second, something he was already doing late last week while McNeil battled leg and back cramps.
