Cole Young SS | SEA
Mariners' Cole Young: Getting day off
Young is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rays.
With Cal Raleigh getting a day off from catching but sticking in the lineup at designated hitter, Jorge Polanco will receive the start at second base while Young heads to the bench. The rookie still appears to be viewed as Seattle's top option at the keystone, but with a .253 batting average, three home runs, one steal, 21 runs and 16 RBI through his first 53 big-league games, Young's fantasy appeal will mostly be limited to AL-only leagues or deeper mixed leagues.

Luis Garcia 2B | WAS
Nationals' Luis Garcia: Resting back injury again
Garcia (back) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Giants.
Garcia will miss a third straight contest while he manages a tight back, but the Nationals are viewing him as day-to-day after an MRI came back negative, per MLB.com. According to Andrew Golden of The Washington Post, Garcia was spotted fielding grounders prior to Sunday's game, which could bode well for his chances of returning to the lineup Monday in Kansas City.

Luis Urias 2B | ATH
Athletics' Luis Urias: Sitting after three straight starts
Urias is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Orioles.
Urias has moved past a back issue and got the start at second base in the prior three games while going 4-for-11 with a walk, two RBI and two runs. He'll give way to Max Schuemann at the keystone Sunday, but Urias should have a fairly clear path to playing time while Max Muncy (hand) and Jacob Wilson (forearm) are on the shelf.

Matt McLain SS | CIN
Reds' Matt McLain: Receiving day off
McLain is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Pirates.
He's gone 4-for-11 with a walk while starting the first three games of the series in Pittsburgh, but McLain will receive a breather on getaway day. Gavin Lux will step in at second base and bat second.

Hye Seong Kim 2B | LAD
Dodgers' Hyeseong Kim: Making progress toward return
Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Thursday that Kim (shoulder) has been taking part in defensive work and hitting in the batting cage, Sebastian Abdon Ibarra of DodgerBlue.com. "Hyeseong is doing well. He took some swings in the cage. I think on Friday we'll get him in a hitting group," Roberts said. "So he's coming along. I think he says he's almost pain-free, so hopefully we'll get him back here soon."
Kim visibly struggled while swinging due to left shoulder bursitis and went 3-for-24 at the plate in his final nine games prior to landing on the injured list July 29. According to MLB.com, the rookie infielder resumed swinging a bat, taking grounders and running Monday, so his stay on the injured list may not necessarily be a lengthy one.

Brendan Donovan 2B | SEA
Cardinals' Brendan Donovan: Scratched with groin tightness
Donovan was scratched from the lineup ahead of Saturday's game against the Cubs with left groin tightness, Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat reports.
The Cardinals are calling Donovan's removal from the lineup precautionary, so while he won't be able to play Saturday, it doesn't seem like he's dealing with a severe issue. Thomas Saggese will enter the lineup to replace Donovan at second base and bat ninth.

Adael Amador SS | COL
Rockies' Adael Amador: On bench Saturday
Amador isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Diamondbacks.
After starting both of Colorado's games since being promoted Wednesday and going 0-for-5, Amador will step out of the starting nine Saturday while Kyle Farmer starts at second base and bats ninth.

Christian Moore 2B | LAA
Angels' Christian Moore: Getting rest day
Moore is not in the Angels' starting lineup against the Tigers on Saturday, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.
Moore was reinstated from the 10-day injured list this past Sunday and will get a breather after playing in the Angels' last five games, going 3-for-16 (.188) with three runs and four walks over that span. Luis Rengifo will start at the keystone and bat seventh.
