  • Adam Frazier 2B | LAA

Pirates' Adam Frazier: Unable to provide offense

Frazier went 0-for-4 with one strikeout against the Nationals on Monday.

The Pirates continue to place Frazier primarily in the leadoff role even though he's slashing .169/.260/.246 in his last 73 plate appearances. Aside from a three-week hot stretch in July, Frazier has flopped in his first season as an everyday second baseman. It wouldn't be surprising to see him moved back into a utility role in 2020.

  • Ketel Marte 2B | ARI

Diamondbacks' Ketel Marte: Blasts 26th homer

Marte went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run and a walk in the Diamondbacks' 5-3 win over the Rockies on Monday.

Marte's breakout campaign continues, as he checked in with his 26th long ball of the season in this contest with a two-run shot off Chi Chi Gonzalez in the sixth inning. He's blossomed into a star in his age-25 season, as Marte now sports a phenomenal .320/.382/.573 slash line across 529 plate appearances.

  • Josh Rojas 3B | CHW

    Diamondbacks' Josh Rojas: Sitting Monday

Rojas is not in Monday's lineup against the Rockies.

Rojas is 6-for-21 (.286) with zero home runs and one steal in seven games since making his big-league debut. Jarrod Dyson will start in right field, hitting leadoff.

  • Ketel Marte 2B | ARI

Diamondbacks' Ketel Marte: Back in Monday's lineup

Marte (back) is starting in center field and hitting second Monday against the Rockies.

This is excellent news, especially for those in weekly leagues, as Marte can now be deployed with confidence after missing two games with lower-back tightness. He is hitting .364 with two home runs and three steals in 13 games this month.

  • Amed Rosario 3B | NYY

Mets' Amed Rosario: Shines again atop lineup

Rosario went 3-for-5 with a double, a run and three RBI in Sunday's 11-5 win over the Royals.

Rosario has been spectacular since replacing the injured Jeff McNeil (hamstring) as the team's leadoff man Aug. 14. Through his first five games atop the lineup, Rosario has churned out four multi-hit efforts while scoring six times and driving in five. McNeil is expected to return from the 10-day injured list when first eligible next weekend, but Rosario shouldn't be in store for a drastic decline in fantasy value at that point. He'll likely just move down a spot in the order once McNeil is back, a favorable position with rookie phenom Pete Alonso slotting directly behind him.

  • Luis Urias 2B | ATH

Padres' Luis Urias: Swats second home run

Urias went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer in Sunday's win over the Phillies.

Starting at shortstop for the fourth straight game, Urias poked a four-seam fastball over the right field wall in the fourth inning for his second major-league long ball. The 22-year-old rookie got off to a slow start this season, hitting just .090 through his first 55 at-bats, but has thrived in August with a .326/.431/.465 slash line and 12 RBI in 14 games.

  • Ketel Marte 2B | ARI

Diamondbacks' Ketel Marte: Still out Sunday

Marte (back) is not in Sunday's lineup against the Giants.

He will miss a second game in a row with lower-back tightness. Marte was available off the bench Saturday, which suggests he could be nearing a return. Wilmer Flores will start at second base against southpaw Madison Bumgarner.

  • Dodgers' Enrique Hernandez: Likely to be activated Tuesday

Hernandez is expected to be reinstated from the 10-day injured list ahead of Tuesday's game against the Blue Jays, Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reports.

Hernandez began a rehab assignment in the Arizona League on Friday, so a Tuesday activation would give him at least one more game to sharpen his skills before rejoining the Dodgers. The utility man has been out since July 29 with a sprained left hand.

  • Luis Urias 2B | ATH

Padres' Luis Urias: Moves back down in order

Urias will start at shortstop and bat eighth Saturday against the Phillies.

Urias slotted into the leadoff spot for Friday's game -- the first game following Fernando Tatis Jr.'s back injury -- and Kevin Acee of The San Diego Union-Tribune described that lineup as "the new normal." However, Urias went hitless in the series opener, and he now finds himself back at the bottom of the order, with Manuel Margot leading off. Perhaps manager Andy Green decided he doesn't want to put too much pressure on Urias' bat.

  • Ketel Marte 2B | ARI

Diamondbacks' Ketel Marte: Available off bench

Marte was scratched from Saturday's lineup with lower-back tightness, but he will be available off the bench and is expected back in the lineup Sunday, Nick Piecoro of The Arizona Republic reports.

It sounds like Marte's scratch was largely precautionary, as manager Torey Lovullo said he expects to have him back for the series finale. Marte hasn't slowed down in the second half, hitting .347/.440/.595 with five homers and four steals since the break. He was replaced in Saturday's lineup by Wilmer Flores.
