Jeff McNeil 2B | ATH
Mets' Jeff McNeil: Sitting again Thursday
McNeil is not starting Thursday against the Marlins, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.
McNeil is situated on the bench for a second straight game, with Luis Guillorme picking up another start in his absence. There has been no word of any injury, though it's worth noting that McNeil returned from a knee issue earlier in the week and played in a pair of games before retreating to the bench.

Adam Frazier 2B | LAA
Pirates' Adam Frazier: Heads to bench
Frazier is not starting Thursday against the Indians, Adam Berry of MLB.com reports.
Frazier has started the past 10 games, going 8-for-44 with a pair of home runs and a stolen base during that stretch. Kevin Newman is covering second base in his stead Thursday, with Erik Gonzalez moving to shortstop and JT Riddle entering the lineup at third base.

Brendan Rodgers 2B | BOS
Rockies' Brendan Rodgers: Starting at 2B Thursday
Rodgers is starting at second base and hitting seventh Thursday against the Astros.
He gets the start with a righty (Cristian Javier) on the mound, which is a good sign for the righty-hitting Rodgers. Granted, Garrett Hampson, who is not in the lineup, remains healthy and active, so it will be interesting to see how the playing time shakes out now that Rodgers is up. Chris Owings (hamstring) and David Dahl (back) are both on the injured list, so there might be enough playing time to go around in the short term.

Ketel Marte 2B | ARI
Diamondbacks' Ketel Marte: Raises average to .337
Marte returned to the lineup and went 2-for-4 in Wednesday's 4-1 loss to Oakland.
After a rest day Tuesday, Marte rapped out multiple hits for the 11th time in 24 games and raised his average to .337. That's higher than the mark he posted during his breakout 2019 season, but Marte's power is down -- just one home run and a .429 slugging percentage. Pitchers are attacking him differently, per Nick Piecoro of the Arizona Republic, who notes Marte is seeing fewer fastballs over the plate and more on the edge. This has contributed to a reduction in barrels. Last year, when Marte slugged .592 and launched 32 home runs, he barreled up 9.3 percent of his batted balls. That has fallen to 3.6 percent in 2020.

Brendan Rodgers 2B | BOS
Rockies' Brendan Rodgers: Gets call to majors
Rodgers was recalled from Colorado's alternate camp site Wednesday.
Rodgers is set to join the Rockies for the first time all season after failing to break camp with the team. The prospect struggled in his big-league debut in 2019, slashing .224/.272/.250 with 27 strikeouts in 25 games, though he hit .350/.413/.622 across 37 games at Triple-A prior to his promotion. He'll replace David Dahl -- who was sent to the injured list with lower-back soreness -- on the active roster. Rodgers should provide the Rockies with infield depth during his time in the majors.

Nico Hoerner 2B | CHC
Cubs' Nico Hoerner: Sitting nightcap
Hoerner is not in the lineup for Game 2 of Wednesday's doubleheader against the Cardinals.
Hoerner started Game 1 at third base and went 0-for-2 with one strikeout in the seven-inning loss. David Bote will start at the hot corner in place of Kris Bryant (wrist) in the nightcap.

Jeff McNeil 2B | ATH
Mets' Jeff McNeil: Not in lineup Wednesday
McNeil is not starting Wednesday against the Marlins.
McNeil -- who returned from a minor knee injury earlier in the week -- will head to the bench Wednesday after starting the past two games and going 1-for-8 with an RBI. In his absence, the Mets are going with an outfield of Dominic Smith, Brandon Nimmo and Michael Conforto from left to right.

Mauricio Dubon SS | ATL
Giants' Mauricio Dubon: Sitting again Wednesday
Dubon is not starting Wednesday against the Angels, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
Dubon will sit for a second straight game as the Giants go with an outfield consisting of Darin Ruf, Mike Yastrzemski and Hunter Pence from left to right. Through 22 games this season, Dubon is slashing .267/.286/.333 with one home run and two steals.

Luis Garcia 1B | WAS
Nationals' Luis Garcia: On base four times in win
Garcia went 3-for-4 with a walk and a run scored in Tuesday's 8-5 win over Atlanta.
The rookie paced a 17-hit barrage by the Nats, and he drew his first big-league walk for good measure. Garcia's MLB career is off to a flying start, as he's gone 6-for-17 through four games since being added to the roster. The 20-year-old has a chance to lock down the starting spot at second base with Starlin Castro (wrist) likely out for the rest of the regular season.

Amed Rosario 3B | NYY
Mets' Amed Rosario: Showing signs of life at plate
Rosario went 2-for-5 with a home run and three RBI in Tuesday's 8-3 win over the Marlins.
The shortstop has had a tough start to 2020 at the plate, but he seems to be coming around. Rosario has collected four hits in the last two games, including his second homer of the year, but he's still slashing just .224/.224/.355 and is looking for both his first walk and stolen base.
