Cubs' Nico Hoerner: Activated, starting Sunday
Hoerner (hamstring) was activated from the 10-day injured list and is starting Sunday against the Reds.
Hoerner has been sidelined since late May by a strained left hamstring, and he'll rejoin the active roster after going 4-for-14 in four rehab games with Triple-A Iowa. The 24-year-old should reclaim the everyday role at the keystone, while Sergio Alcantara was sent to Triple-A in a corresponding move.

Cubs' Nico Hoerner: Could return Sunday
Hoerner (hamstring) could be reinstated from the injured list Sunday, Russell Dorsey of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
Hoerner has joined the Cubs in Cincinnati, and he'll hit with the team ahead of Saturday's matchup against the Reds. If he feels good following batting practice, the 24-year-old could be available for Sunday's series finale. Once he's officially activated from the injured list, Hoerner will likely reclaim his job as the primary second baseman right away.

Luis Guillorme 3B | HOU
Mets' Luis Guillorme: Not starting Saturday
Guillorme isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Mets, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.
Guillorme has gone 4-for-13 with a run and two strikeouts across the last four games, and he'll get a breather while Jose Peraza starts at third base and bats ninth. The 26-year-old could see a decrease in playing time in the near future once Jonathan Villar (calf) is reinstated from the injured list.

Thairo Estrada 2B | BAL
Giants' Thairo Estrada: Five-RBI day paces Giants
Estrada went 3-for-5 with a grand slam, a double and five RBI in Friday's 11-4 win over the Diamondbacks.
Estrada had the best game of his young career Friday night. He notched his first-ever three-hit game and had at least three RBI for the first time since May 19, 2019. The 25-year-old doubled home a run in the fifth and then sealed the game with a grand slam in the ninth to put his team up 11-4. He hadn't recorded a hit in two at-bats this season coming into the game and should continue to hold a depth role around the infield despite breaking out with a stellar performance.

Ozzie Albies 2B | ATL
Braves' Ozzie Albies: Key role in Friday's win
Albies went 1-for-2 with an RBI and a stolen base in Friday's 1-0 win over the Marlins.
After Ronald Acuna got hit by the first pitch of the game, Albies cashed him in with a sacrifice fly, and that was all the offense either squad could muster on the night. The second baseman has hit safely in five straight games and swiped a bag in three straight, continuing a hot stretch that has seen him slash .322/.362/.593 since the beginning of June with six homers, 10 steals, 19 runs and 31 RBI through 30 games.

Guillorme is not in the lineup Friday against the Yankees.
Guillorme started the past 10 games at third base but will take a seat after going 7-for-30 (.233 averaged) during that stretch. The 26-year-old may see a downturn in playing time in the near future with Jonathan Villar (calf) potentially returning from the injured list this weekend.
