  • Gavin Lux SS | TB

Dodgers' Gavin Lux: Managing neck issue

Lux was scratched from Tuesday's lineup against Milwaukee due to a neck injury, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

The injury isn't expected to necessitate a trip to the injured list, but Lux will be held out of the lineup until at least Friday's series opener in Miami. Chris Taylor and Hanser Alberto are the likely fill-in options at second base for Los Angeles.

Dodgers' Gavin Lux: Scratched from Tuesday's lineup

Lux was scratched from Tuesday's lineup against the Brewers for unspecified reasons.

The 24-year-old was penciled in to start at second base Tuesday against Milwaukee but was removed from the lineup without explanation. It's unclear if Lux is dealing with an injury or if manager Dave Roberts simply opted for a lineup change.

  • Thairo Estrada 2B | BAL

Giants' Thairo Estrada: Enters Tuesday's lineup

Estrada was added to Tuesday's lineup after Brandon Belt (knee) was scratched, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Estrada was initially set to be a bench bat Tuesday, but now he'll play second base and bat sixth against the Tigers.

  • Bryson Stott 2B | PHI

Phillies' Bryson Stott: On bench Tuesday

Stott isn't in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Reds, Todd Zolecki of MLB.com reports.

It appears to be a regular day off for Stott, who's posted an impressive .319/.347/.464 slash line in 18 games this month. Edmundo Sosa is starting at shortstop Tuesday.

  • Thairo Estrada 2B | BAL

Giants' Thairo Estrada: On bench Tuesday

Estrada isn't starting Tuesday's game in Detroit, Evan Webeck of The San Jose Mercury News reports.

Wilmer Flores will play second base while Estrada, with his .647 OPS in his last 10 games, takes a seat.

  • Luis Urias 2B | TOR

Brewers' Luis Urias: Swats homer off bench

Urias went 1-for-2 with a solo home run and an additional RBI in Monday's 4-0 win over the Dodgers.

Urias didn't start the contest, but he came into the game as a defensive replacement in the third inning after Mike Brosseau left with a rib cage injury. In the following frame, Urias took advantage of the opportunity by drilling a solo homer for Milwaukee's first run. The long ball ended an ice cold stretch for Urias in which he had gone 0-for-20 over his past six games.

  • Luis Urias 2B | TOR

Brewers' Luis Urias: Gets night off

Urias isn't in the starting lineup for Monday's game against the Dodgers.

Urias will take a seat yet again against a southpaw. Mike Brosseau gets another chance to man the hot corner, as he's now done so in each of the last six times Milwaukee has faced a left-handed starter.

  • Nolan Gorman 3B | STL

Cardinals' Nolan Gorman: Sits against southpaw

Gorman isn't starting Monday's game against the Cardinals, John Denton of MLB.com reports.

Gorman is on the bench for the third time in the last four games since left-hander Drew Smyly is starting for the Cubs. Paul Goldschmidt is serving as the designated hitter while Albert Pujols starts at first base.

  • Ketel Marte 2B | ARI

Diamondbacks' Ketel Marte: Fairly quiet in return

Marte went 1-for-5 with a strikeout in Sunday's 6-4 loss to the Cardinals.

Marte missed six games with a left hamstring injury. The lackluster return to action put him at a .257/.341/.431 slash line through 431 plate appearances this year. He's added 10 home runs, 42 RBI, 56 runs scored and four stolen bases, though he shouldn't be expected to run much since he's had hamstring issues off and on throughout the year. If Marte continues to serve as the designated hitter, Josh Rojas and Emmanuel Rivera should both be able to fit into the lineup regularly at second base and third base, respectively.

  • Ha-seong Kim SS | ATL

Padres' Ha-Seong Kim: Swipes bag Sunday

Kim went 1-for-3 with a stolen base in Sunday's 2-1 win over the Nationals.

Kim has cooled off a bit since his three-hit, four-RBI game Wednesday. Across his last four contests, he's gone 2-for-13 with a pair of walks, though he was able to add a steal Sunday, which was his second in August and his ninth of the year. The shortstop is slashing .252/.329/.375 with six home runs, 44 RBI and 44 runs scored through 113 contests.
