The Cubs outrighted Kingery to Triple-A Iowa on Monday.

Kingery was designated for assignment by the Cubs on Friday, and he'll wind up sticking around in the organization after going unclaimed on waivers. After winning a spot on the Cubs' Opening Day roster coming out of spring training, Kingery logged just four plate appearances over the first month of the season.

Wetherholt went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Monday's 4-2 win over the Pirates.

The rookie infielder went yard in his third consecutive game Monday as part of St. Louis' four-run rally in the ninth inning. Wetherholt has settled in as St. Louis leadoff batter, batting first in each of his 27 starts on the campaign. Through 128 plate appearances, he's slashing .238/.359/.429 with six homers, two doubles, 14 RBI, four stolen bases and 22 runs scored.

Yorke is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Cardinals.

On the bench for the fifth time in six games, Yorke appears to have ceded primary duties at third base to Nick Gonzales. Yorke's limited opportunities at the hot corner are likely to dwindle further upon the return of Jared Triolo (knee), who remains on the 10-day injured list but is in the midst of a rehab assignment and could be activated within the next week.

Kim (finger) will begin a rehab assignment with Double-A Columbus this week, Grant McAuley of the Marietta Daily Journal reports.

Kim has finally been cleared to play in games following surgery in January to address a torn tendon in his right middle finger. He's basically at the start of spring training, so Kim's rehab assignment should be a lengthy one. Kim will be in line for the bulk of the playing time at shortstop when he returns, though Mauricio Dubon has played well as a fill-in and will still see action at shortstop as part of a utility role.

The Diamondbacks optioned Valdez to Triple-A Reno on Monday.

Valdez served as the 27th man during the Mexico City Series versus the Padres over the weekend, but he did not make an appearance. The 28-year-old has hit only .211/.375/.263 in limited time between Double-A Amarillo and Reno in 2026.

Edman (ankle) has been facing live pitching but is still doing only straight-line running, per MLB.com.

Edman continues to rehab from the right ankle surgery he underwent last November. The utility man began taking live at-bats in mid-April and has continued to do so, but the organization is having him build up his running progression slowly. Edman isn't likely to be activated from the injured list until at least late May.

Wagner (oblique) has been participating in extended spring-training games at the Padres' complex in Arizona, per MLB.com.

Wagner suffered a strained right oblique in early March after appearing in just five Cactus League contests. He seems to be showing improvement but hasn't yet set out on a rehab assignment. It's unclear if there will be room for Wagner on the big-league roster when he's back to full health.

Julien went 3-for-8 with three runs scored and a walk across both games of Sunday's doubleheader against the Mets.

Julien served as the leadoff hitter in both contests and continued his recent success of getting on base and scoring runs. He extended his hitting streak to six games, and he also has seven runs scored and five RBI in that span. Julien has started 18 of the Rockies' last 19 contests against right-handed pitching, and his strong start to the season should keep his role secure for the foreseeable future.

Tawa went 1-for-4 with a grand slam in Sunday's 12-7 win over San Diego.

Tawa's first homer of the season was a big one, as his seventh-inning grand slam cut Arizona's deficit to one run before the offense kept humming to complete a come-from-behind victory. It was a much-needed moment for the 27-year-old, who has seen his playing time dwindle and his place on the roster come under scrutiny. In 48 plate appearances, Tawa is slashing .146/.234/.268 with three extra-base hits, six RBI and two runs.

Lowe is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Brewers

Lowe went 2-for-9 with a double, a run and three strikeouts in the first two games of the series and will hit the bench for the finale. It's likely just a maintenance day for Lowe with a lefty starter (Kyle Harrison) taking the mound for Milwaukee.
