Phillies' Bryson Stott: Sitting against lefty

Stott isn't in the Phillies' lineup Saturday against the Mets.

Giants' Thairo Estrada: Goes yard in win

Estrada went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 5-1 win over the Dodgers.

His struggles have caused his season slash line to sag to .265/.356/.408 with 17 home runs, 36 stolen bases, 58 RBI, 81 runs scored and 21 doubles through 144 games.

Marlins' Luis Arraez: Back in lineup Friday

Arraez (ankle) is starting at second base and batting leadoff Friday versus the Brewers in his return to the lineup.

He missed the last two games with a sprained left ankle but is feeling well enough to give it a go following the Marlins' off day Thursday. Arraez and his teammates will be tasked with solving Corbin Burnes on Friday.

McNeil went 3-for-4 with a double, a triple, an RBI, two runs scored and a steal in Thursday's 5-4 loss to the Phillies.

McNeil wound up a homer shy of a cycle Thursday, as he tallied multiple hits for the third time in his last four games. He's also gone seven straight games without striking out, going 10-for-28 (.357) in that span. McNeil's slash line is now up to .271/.334/.381 through 631 plate appearances this season with 10 homers, 75 runs scored, 54 RBI and a career-high 10 steals.

Albies opened the scoring Thursday night for Atlanta with a first-inning RBI double and closed it out with a two-run homer in the ninth. This was the 26-year-old's third four-hit game of the year (first since June 4). Albies has produced a splendid year while bouncing back from last year's injury-riddled 64-game season. He has slashed .274/.328/.509 with 32 homers, 13 steals, 103 RBI and 89 runs over 139 contests.

Alu isn't in the Nationals' lineup Thursday against Atlanta, Bobby Blanco of MASNSports.com reports.

  • Ketel Marte 2B | ARI

Diamondbacks' Ketel Marte: Homers in win

Marte went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 7-1 win over the Giants.

Marte followed up his perfect 4-for-4 performance Tuesday with a solo shot in the seventh inning for his 24th home run. The Diamondbacks won their fifth straight, all against wild-card competitors, and Marte has been prominent in the streak. The second baseman has gone 8-for-21 with a double, two home runs, five RBI, four walks, a stolen base and five runs scored during the run, as the Diamondbacks leapfrogged the Cubs for the second wild-card spot while perhaps putting a dagger in the Giants playoff hopes.

  • Rockies' Brendan Rodgers: Swats first homer of 2023

Rodgers went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 3-2 loss to the Padres.

In his 36th game, Rodgers finally hit his first homer of the season, driving a Seth Lugo fastball over the left-center field fence in the first inning. The 27-year-old infielder has hit safely in seven straight games, going 12-for-27 (.444) with a double, four runs and four RBI, and with the Rockies finishing their campaign with a seven-game homestand next week, Rodgers could be able to keep his hot streak going.
