Brice Turang 2B | MIL
Brewers' Brice Turang: Ready to go Sunday
Turang (wrist) will start at second base and bat sixth Sunday against the Giants, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.
Turang sat out Saturday's 7-1 loss after being hit by a pitch on the wrist in Friday's series opener, but he's ready to rejoin the lineup after missing just one game. The second baseman has been one of the best hitters in baseball during August and has a 1.190 OPS with eight home runs, six doubles, 20 RBI, 16 runs and two steals in 20 games this month.

Willi Castro RF | CHC
Cubs' Willi Castro: Collects two hits in rout
Castro went 2-for-5 with a run scored in Saturday's 12-1 win over the Angels.
Castro started at third base to give Matt Shaw a breather, then shifted to center field later in the contest. The veteran utility player got off to a slow start with the Cubs after coming over at the trade deadline, but he now has a hit in three of his last four games, during which time he's batting .308. Castro remains an inconsistent fantasy performer, though he can deliver some power and speed when he's locked in.

Luis Garcia 2B | WAS
Nationals' Luis Garcia: Swats homer No. 10
Garcia went 3-for-4 with a double, a home run and two RBI in Saturday's 6-4 loss to the Phillies.
He took Aaron Nola deep for a solo shot in the sixth inning, giving Garcia his first homer in August and his 10th of the season. Despite the power outage, the 25-year-old hasn't completely disappeared at the plate this month, slashing .273/.310/.418 over 16 games with three doubles, a triple, a stolen base, six RBI and eight runs.

Jeff McNeil 2B | NYM
Mets' Jeff McNeil: Stays hot with two homers
McNeil went 2-for-5 with two home runs and four RBI in Saturday's 9-2 win over Atlanta.
McNeil opened the scoring, belting a three-run shot in the third inning, then extended the Mets lead with another long ball in the ninth, giving him 12 homers on the season and his fourth multi-hit performance in his last seven games. After going 33 games without a home run, McNeil has now gone deep three times in his last three starts. The veteran second baseman is now slashing .261/.351/.462 with 44 RBI, 35 runs scored and two stolen bases through 92 games this year.

Casey Schmitt 2B | SF
Giants' Casey Schmitt: Powers offense in win
Schmitt went 2-for-4 with a home run, a double, four RBI and two runs scored in Saturday's 7-1 win over the Brewers.
Schmitt tied the game in the sixth inning with an RBI double before launching a three-run homer in the seventh. Over 17 August contests, the 26-year-old is hitting .266 with nine extra-base hits, 12 RBI and nine runs scored, including four multi-hit efforts. For the season, he's slashing .249/.326/.424 with nine home runs, 29 RBI and 24 runs scored across 243 plate appearances.

Edmundo Sosa 2B | PHI
Phillies' Edmundo Sosa: Belts seventh homer in win
Sosa went 1-for-3 with a three-run home run in Saturday's 6-4 win over the Nationals.
Sosa drew the start at second base versus left-hander Mitchell Parker, blasting his seventh homer of the year and his third of the month of August. The righty-hitting Sosa has a definitive short-side platoon role -- he sports a .917 OPS against lefties in 2025 -- though his .558 OPS against righties will likely continue to prevent him from seeing regular at-bats. Bryson Stott boasts a 1.049 OPS so far this month, which is also working against Sosa's ability to pick up more playing time at the keystone.

Brewers' Brice Turang: Not in lineup
Turang (wrist) is out of the lineup for Saturday's game against the Giants.
Turang was hit by a pitch Friday night and tested out the injury pregame to see if he'd be able to play Saturday. It seems as though his wrist didn't respond well, as he's not part of the starting nine. Caleb Durbin will slide over to second base while Anthony Seigler plays third base.

Brice Turang 2B | MIL
Brewers' Brice Turang: Monitoring wrist after HBP
Turang is tentatively in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against San Francisco, but he's testing out how his wrist feels while swinging before confirming he can play, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.
Turang was hit in the wrist by a pitch Friday and remained in the game. However, the wrist doesn't appear to be 100 percent. Turang will go through pregame warmups to make sure he can play, but he's tentatively penciled into Saturday's lineup.

Tyler Fitzgerald 2B | SF
Giants' Tyler Fitzgerald: Sent down to Triple-A
The Giants optioned Fitzgerald to Triple-A Sacramento on Saturday., Shayna Rubin of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Mets' Jeff McNeil: Starting Saturday
McNeil (shoulder) is playing second base and batting fifth Saturday against Atlanta.
McNeil was held out of the lineup in back-to-back games due to soreness in his right shoulder. After being available off the bench Friday, he makes his return to the starting nine Saturday. McNeil has nine hits, including three doubles and a homer, in his last 22 at-bats.
