Thairo Estrada 2B | BAL
Giants' Thairo Estrada: Battling hamstring tightness
Estrada was removed from Wednesday's game against the Mets due to left hamstring tightness, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Estrada reportedly wanted to play through his injury, suggesting that his removal was more of a precautionary decision. The Giants don't play Thursday, so the 28-year-old will get an extra day to recover and may be able to return Friday without missing any time.

Jonathan India 2B | KC
Reds' Jonathan India: Not starting, but available off bench
India (illness) is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Phillies.
India and Jake Fraley are being held out of the starting nine for the fourth and fifth consecutive games, respectively, as both work to return to 100 percent health in their recoveries from illness. Santiago Espinal has been serving as India's primary replacement and will draw another start at second base Wednesday. According to Mark Sheldon of MLB.com, India was at the team facility Wednesday and was able to do some hitting, so he should be available off the bench, if needed.

The Cardinals recalled Fermin from Triple-A Memphis on Wednesday, Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat reports.
Fermin was off to a fantastic start with Memphis, slashing .350/.458/.650 with four home runs, five steals and a 3:11 K:BB over 18 games. The 25-year-old will offer utility infield depth for the Cardinals, and it's possible he gets some starts at second base against lefties.

Brendan Rodgers 2B | BOS
Rockies' Brendan Rodgers: Launches grand slam in win
Rodgers went 1-for-4 with a grand slam in the Rockies 7-4 win over the Padres on Tuesday.
Rodgers stepped up to the plate in the fourth with the bases juiced and sent a 421-foot blast to left-center field to put the Rockies in front 5-4 and they would never look back. It was his first career grand slam, his first RBI since April 13 and his first extra-base hit since April 12. It's been a rough go at the plate early on for the 27-year-old, as he's slashing just .197/.230/.324 with seven RBI, nine runs and a 3:20 BB:K in 74 plate appearances.

Tucupita Marcano 2B | SD
Padres' Tucupita Marcano: Taking grounders
Marcano (knee) has been taking groundballs as he begins to ramp up his baseball activities, per MLB.com.
Marcano continues to rehab from the ACL surgery he underwent in August of last year. The 24-year-old was placed on the 10-day IL on March 19, so he'll be eligible to return as soon as he's physically ready to do so. Given that Marcano didn't see any spring training action, he'll likely require an extended rehab assignment in the minors before the Padres consider promoting him to the big-league roster.

Santiago Espinal 2B | LAD
Reds' Santiago Espinal: Three hits, homer in win
Espinal went 3-for-4 with a home run and two total RBI in Tuesday's 8-1 victory over the Phillies.
After picking up a pair of base hits earlier in the game, Espinal delivered the final blow in Cincinnati's 8-1 victory, smacking a solo home run off Ricardo Pinto in the eighth inning, his first of the season. It's just the second multi-hit game of the year for the 29-year-old Espinal -- he'd been stuck in a 1-for-19 slump over his previous seven contests. Overall, he's slashing .178/.264/.267 with seven RBI, three runs scored and three stolen bases across 17 games. While Espinal's performance Tuesday was encouraging, he'll likely retreat to a bench role when Jonathan India (illness) is ready to return.
