Hye Seong Kim 2B | LAD
Dodgers' Hyeseong Kim: Swats first career homer
Kim went 2-for-2 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 9-3 win over the Athletics.
Kim's first major-league long ball was a 385-foot solo shot in the fifth inning that tied the score. Since he was called up from the minors May 3, the rookie infielder has recorded three multi-hit games and is batting a robust .360 (9-for-25). The homer Wednesday was Kim's first extra-base hit, but he's also contributed a pair of stolen bases, five runs and three RBI.

Ketel Marte 2B | ARI
Diamondbacks' Ketel Marte: Removed with lower-body stiffness
Marte was removed from Wednesday's 8-7 win over the Giants due to stiffness in his hip, Steve Gilbert of MLB.com reports. The removal was preventative, and both the player and manager Torey Lovullo expect Marte to be in the lineup Friday following Thursday's off-day.
Marte moved around the bases pretty easily on a pair of home runs early in the game but was eventually removed from the game in the seventh inning. This was the first time he played a day game following a night game since returning from a hamstring injury. He was replaced by Jordan Lawlar. Marte is still in a phase where his playing time is being managed, meaning there are planned days off.

Diamondbacks' Ketel Marte: Goes yard twice in win
Marte went 2-for-4 with two home runs and three RBI in Wednesday's 8-7 win over the Giants.
After belting a solo shot off Jordan Hicks in the first inning, Marte tagged Hayden Birdsong for a two-run blast in the fourth as he bookended the scoring for the Diamondbacks. Marte has two multi-homer performances in the last seven games and five long balls in total over that stretch, but he's otherwise struggled to find his rhythm since coming off the IL at the beginning of the month, going 8-for-39 (.205) through 12 games in May.

Kyle Farmer 3B | ATL
Rockies' Kyle Farmer: Tallies first homer
Farmer went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run and a walk Wednesday against the Rangers.
Farmer has started four of Colorado's last seven games, splitting time between second base and shortstop. He started at the former position Wednesday and hit second in the order. While he managed to tally his first home run of the season, Farmer has only two hits across 17 at-bats in his last seven games.

Brendan Donovan 2B | SEA
Cardinals' Brendan Donovan: On base four times in nightcap
Donovan went 3-for-5 with a double, one RBI, one walk and two runs scored in a 14-7 win over the Phillies in the second game of Wednesday's doubleheader.
Donovan entered this game 0-for-11 over his previous three contests, including an 0-for-4 effort in the matinee contest. That's an unusual cold spell for the utility player -- he had hit safely in the 10 games before that brief slump. Donovan has been a reliable hitter this year, batting .313 with an .824 OPS across 42 contests. He's added three home runs, 20 RBI, 23 runs scored, 12 doubles and three stolen bases while seeing the bulk of his playing time at second base.

Brett Baty 3B | NYM
Mets' Brett Baty: Idle against southpaw
Baty is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Pirates.
He'll take a seat while southpaw Bailey Falter toes the rubber for Pittsburgh, but the left-handed-hitting Baty seems to have played his way into a regular role against right-handed pitching for the time being. After getting called up from Triple-A Syracuse on May 5, Baty has started in five of the Mets' seven matchups with right-handers during that stretch and has gone 6-for-17 with four home runs and seven RBI.

Luisangel Acuna 2B | CHW
Mets' Luisangel Acuna: Could see drop in playing time
Acuna will start at second base and bat eighth in Wednesday's game against the Pirates.
After sitting against Pirates righty Mitch Keller on Tuesday, the right-handed-hitting Acuna is back in the lineup Wednesday while Pittsburgh sends a lefty (Bailey Falter) to the bump. Before he was out of the lineup Tuesday, Acuna had started in each of the previous five games, but his playing time could become more sporadic with his bat having cooled down of late. Acuna has gone 4-for-20 with no walks and five strikeouts over his last five starts.

Kyle Farmer 3B | ATL
Rockies' Kyle Farmer: Batting second Wednesday
Farmer will start at shortstop and bat second in Wednesday's game against the Rangers.
Back in the lineup Wednesday for just the second time in five games, Farmer will occupy a prominent spot in the batting order while typical No. 2 hitter Jordan Beck slides down to the three hole. Farmer has produced a meager .601 OPS over 117 plate appearances on the season, so barring a big performance Wednesday, he's unlikely to see regular opportunities in a premium spot in the lineup.

Adael Amador SS | COL
Rockies' Adael Amador: Sitting out Wednesday
Amador is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Rangers.
Amador has been seeing most of the starts at second base for the Rockies of late, but he's yet to completely run away with a full-time job, batting just .158 with a 28.1 percent strikeout rate since being promoted from Triple-A Albuquerque in mid-April. Owen Miller will get the nod at the keystone Wednesday.
