  • Blue Jays' Yangervis Solarte: Two hits Saturday

Solarte went 2-for-5 with a double, a run scored and an RBI in Saturday's win over the Orioles.

Solarte had been in a slump of late with a .149/.212/.234 line over his last 52 plate appearances prior to Saturday, though he struck out only seven times and had an unsustainably-low BABIP of .150 in that span. The 30-year-old has a .249 average and .762 OPS with 12 home runs through 60 games this season.

  • Elvis Andrus 2B | ARI

Rangers' Elvis Andrus: To start rehab assignment Monday

Andrus (elbow) is scheduled to begin a minor-league stint at Double-A Frisco on Monday, John Blake of the Texas Rangers reports.

If all goes well during his rehabilitation assignment, Andrus could return as soon as June 18 against Kansas City. He's been on the shelf for the last two months recovering from a fractured right elbow.

  • Marcus Semien 2B | NYM

Athletics' Marcus Semien: Bat heating up

Semien, who went 3-for-4 with a triple and two runs in a win over the Royals on Friday, is 5-for-8 over his last two games.

The shortstop had started June off going just 1-for-19 over his first five games, but he's busted out of that malaise in impressive fashion over the first two installments of the four-game set against the Royals. Semien's power game is a bit behind its usual pace thus far this season (five home runs over 287 plate appearances), but he's actually making hard contact at a career-high 31.2 percent clip.

  • Rays' Christian Arroyo: Blasts first homer Friday

Arroyo went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in a loss to the Mariners on Friday.

Arroyo took Marco Gonzales deep in the fifth inning on one of the young southpaw's few mistakes, notching his first major-league homer of 2018. Arroyo continues to draw intermittent starts, although Friday's was his first since June 2. The promising 23-year-old has been holding his own against big-league arms thus far, slashing a solid .297/.395/.486 across 43 plate appearances.

  • Jose Altuve 2B | HOU

Astros' Jose Altuve: Hits two-run homer in win Friday

Altuve went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in Friday's win over the Rangers.

Altuve clubbed a two-run shot -- his fifth homer of the year -- off reliever Matt Bush in the seventh inning. Altuve has been on a tear recently, hitting .466 over his last 14 games. All but six hits over this span have been singles, and Friday's home run was his first extra-base hit of June. The power numbers are definitely down from last year, but Altuve is still proving to be one the preeminent hitters in the game.

  • Elvis Andrus 2B | ARI

Rangers' Elvis Andrus: Sets June 18 return date

Andrus (elbow) will head out on a rehab assignment next week before returning from the disabled list prior to a three-game series in Kansas City on June 18, Jeff Wilson of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.

Andrus has been on the 60-day disabled list for the past two months due to a fracture in his right elbow, but he's been able to ramp up activity in the past couple weeks, including throwing across the diamond for the first time during Tuesday's workout. It's expected that Andrus will split his rehab between Double-A and Triple-A, likely starting with Frisco on Monday or Tuesday.

  • Nolan Fontana 2B | LAA

Angels' Nolan Fontana: Recalled from Salt Lake

Fontana was called up from Triple-A Salt Lake on Friday.

Fontana will provide a little extra infield depth with both Andrelton Simmons and Kaleb Cowart on the disabled list due to ankle injuries. Through 21 games with Salt Lake this season, Fontana has hit .282 with a .929 OPS and 11 extra-base hits. Don't expect to see him receive any meaningful playing time unless a couple more Angels go down with injuries.

  • Marcus Semien 2B | NYM

Athletics' Marcus Semien: Breaks out of slump Thursday

Semien went 2-for-4 with an RBI single in a win over the Royals on Thursday.

The struggling shortstop had been mired in an 0-for-14 slump over his last three games, and had started June with a 1-for-19 tally overall. However, he knocked in a key insurance run Thursday as part of his first multi-hit effort since May 27, and fantasy owners can only hope his solid production is a harbinger of a resurgence at the plate.

  • Jose Altuve 2B | HOU

Astros' Jose Altuve: Reaches base three times

Altuve went 3-for-4 with an RBI, stolen base and two runs scored Thursday against the Rangers.

Thursday's effort marked Altuve's fifth multi-hit game in his past 10 starts, helping to him an impressive .338 batting average. He has also stolen five bases in the last 15 days, which has come after he stole just four bases on the season prior to this stretch. He now ranks ninth in the American League in stolen bases with nine.

  • Elvis Andrus 2B | ARI

Rangers' Elvis Andrus: Won't return when first eligible

Andrus (elbow) is not expected to return from the disabled list when first eligible Tuesday, Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Andrus has been sidelined since April 12 with a fracture in his right elbow. The shortstop was able to throw to first base with no issues Tuesday and is expected to begin a minor-league rehab assignment early next week, leaving June 15 against the Rockies as his earliest plausible return date. Once Andrus is healthy, the Rangers will have to figure out what to do with Jurickson Profar, who has been filling in well at shortstop.
