Altuve (hamstring) took part in all running drills prior to Tuesday's game against the Rangers, Julia Morales of AT&T SportsNet Southwest reports.

In addition to getting in some sprinting work, Altuve also tested out his strained left hamstring by moving around side-to-side. The second baseman also performed fielding drills a day earlier, so he appears to be making good progress in his recovery from the injury. He could be ready to return from the 10-day injured list this weekend when first eligible.

Arraez will sit Tuesday against the Tigers, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.

Arraez has started against every righty the Twins have faced this season, but he's been in the lineup just once against a lefty. The platoon role is working out well for him so far, as he's hit .354/.426/.458 while striking out just four times in 15 games.

Frazier went 1-for-5 with a walk and three runs in an extra-innings win over the Royals on Sunday.

Frazier's weekend funk at the plate persisted to an extent, but the talented leadoff man still made a solid impact, including scoring the winning run in the 12th inning on Jesse Winker's single. Frazier went just 1-for-14 during the three-game series versus the Royals, but given his previous body of work, he's likely to snap out of that malaise in short order.

Mendick went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and two runs scored Sunday against the Twins.

Jake Burger has served as the team's primary third baseman with Yoan Moncada (oblique) and Josh Harrison (shoulder) sidelined. However, Mendick drew a spot start Sunday, and he delivered a solo homer to lead off the seventh inning for his first long ball of the season. Burger has only one hit across his last 19 at-bats, so it's possible that Mendick picks up some extra playing time in the short term if he continues to hit well.

Semien went 2-for-3 with a double and a walk in a 2-0 loss Sunday in Oakland.

Semien led off the game with a single, walked in the third and doubled in the eighth. It was just the second multi-hit game of the season for the second baseman. After signing a massive contract with Texas, he has struggled to produce or hit for power as a Ranger. Over the last week he has been better, going 6-for-21 with two doubles and three walks but he remains in search of his first home run of 2022.
