  • Amed Rosario SS | NYY

Guardians' Amed Rosario: Sitting due to knee soreness

Rosario (knee) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Twins.

Rosario will get at least one game off to recover from the sore left knee that resulted in his early exit from Saturday's 4-2 win. Tyler Freeman -- who took over for Rosario on Saturday -- will be Cleveland's starting shortstop in Sunday's series finale.

  • Jose Altuve 2B | HOU

Astros' Jose Altuve: Out again Sunday

Altuve (oblique) is not in the starting lineup for Sunday's game versus the Angels, Danielle Lerner of the Houston Chronicle reports.

As expected, Altuve will get another game off while he deals with "something" he felt in his oblique while swinging the bat against the Angels on Friday. The Astros are calling his absence from the last two games precautionary, and they haven't scheduled any sort of imaging at this point. While Altuve recovers, Mauricio Dubon is hitting at the top of the lineup and playing second base. It remains to be seen whether Altuve will be back in action for Monday's contest against the Blue Jays, but for now the infielder should be considered day-to-day.

  • Mauricio Dubon 2B | ATL

Astros' Mauricio Dubon: Could see increased opportuntiy

Dubon went 2-for-4 with a run scored and an RBI Saturday against the Angels.

Dubon filled in at second base and hit atop the order with Jose Altuve (oblique) sidelined. Altuve is also expected to sit for Sunday's series finale against the Angels, giving Dubon a short-term opportunity to be a regular in the lineup.

  • Marcus Semien 2B | NYM

Rangers' Marcus Semien: Leads in blowout win

Semien went 4-for-6 with two doubles, a home run, three RBI and three additional runs scored in Saturday's 16-6 win over Seattle.

Semien continued his torrid hitting Saturday, as the leadoff batter extended his hit streak to 22 games. He's batting .330 (32-for-97) with eight doubles, two triples, four homers, 19 RBI and 24 runs scored during that stretch. Semien, who has put himself in the middle of early MVP consideration, is tied for the lead in fWAR (3.0) and tied for second in bWAR (3.3).

  • Andres Gimenez 2B | TOR

Guardians' Andres Gimenez: Gets on base four times

Gimenez went 3-for-4 with a double, a walk and a run scored in Saturday's 4-2 win over the Twins.

Gimenez has racked up three multi-hit efforts in his last five games. More notably, he drew a walk for the first time since May 17. The second baseman has struggled to hit consistently this year, batting .247, and he hasn't supplemented it much with a 4.1 percent walk rate. Gimenez has added seven stolen bases, three home runs, 13 RBI and 25 runs scored through 55 contests.

  • Jorge Polanco 1B | NYM

Twins' Jorge Polanco: Swats solo shot

Polanco went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in a loss to the Guardians on Saturday.

Polanco led off the contest with a 413-foot blast, but Minnesota didn't manage much more offense the rest of the way. The long ball was his third hit since returning June 1 from a stay on the injured list, and all three knocks have gone for extra bases (two doubles, one homer). Polanco has been steady when healthy enough to play this season, posting a .278/.316/.500 slash line, five home runs, 16 RBI and one steal over 26 contests.

  • Amed Rosario SS | NYY

Guardians' Amed Rosario: Exits with left knee soreness

Rosario left Saturday's game against the Twins with left knee soreness, Zack Meisel of The Athletic reports.

Rosario went 0-for-1 before exiting. The shortstop has been replaced by Tyler Freeman in the field. For now, Rosario should be considered day-to-day.

  • Red Sox's Enrique Hernandez: Sitting for night game

Hernandez will be on the bench for the evening portion of Saturday's doubleheader against the Rays, Jen McCaffrey of The Athletic reports.

Hernandez went 1-for-4 and scored a run in Boston's 8-5 win in the afternoon game. He'll get a rest in the nightcap with Pablo Reyes taking over at shortstop.

  • Jose Altuve 2B | HOU

Astros' Jose Altuve: Out with oblique discomfort

Altuve is out of the lineup Saturday against the Angels due to oblique discomfort, Danielle Lerner of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Altuve "felt something" in his oblique while taking a swing Friday, per Astros manager Dusty Baker. The veteran's absence Saturday is being labeled as precautionary, but this is certainly a situation worth monitoring. Mauricio Dubon will cover second base and bat leadoff versus the Angels.

  • Mauricio Dubon 2B | ATL

Astros' Mauricio Dubon: In leadoff spot Saturday

Dubon is starting at second base and batting leadoff Saturday against the Angels.

Dubon will fill in for Jose Altuve, who has the day off. The 28-year-old Dubon has seen a predictable dip in playing time since Altuve returned two weeks ago from March surgery for a fractured thumb.
