Royals' Michael Massey: Records second steal
Massey went 2-for-4 with a stolen base and a run scored in Thursday's 9-4 win over the Angels.
Massey hadn't been in the lineup since Saturday, with two of his three games out of the lineup coming against left-handed pitchers. The lefty-hitting second baseman has two multi-hit efforts over his last three games but looks set to end the year in a timeshare as the Royals also try to keep Adam Frazier and Jonathan India involved at the keystone. Massey has posted an uninspiring .233/.258/.300 slash line with three home runs, two steals, 19 RBI and 17 runs scored over 268 plate appearances this season.

Orioles' Jackson Holliday: Remains out of lineup
Holliday (knee) remains out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Rays.
Holliday will miss a second straight start due to knee soreness. He's considered day-to-day, but even a minor injury at this point of the season could be a season-ender. Jorge Mateo will start at second base and bat ninth for the Orioles on Thursday.

The Twins placed Keaschall on the 10-day injured list Thursday with a left thumb sprain.

Twins' Luke Keaschall: Out for rest of 2025
Keaschall was diagnosed with a sprained left thumb and will be out for the rest of the 2025 season, Audra Martin of FanDuel Sports Network North reports.
Keaschall suffered the injury while stealing second base in the second inning of Tuesday's game against the Rangers. He'll see a specialist next week to evaluate the severity of the sprain, but Martin relays that surgery is on the table. He'll end the 2025 season with a .302/.382/.445 slash line, 14 steals, 25 runs, 14 doubles, four home runs and 28 RBI over 207 plate appearances.
