  • Marcus Semien 2B | NYM

Rangers' Marcus Semien: Homer, five RBI in win

Semien went 4-for-5 with a home run, a double, five total RBI and three total runs scored in Tuesday's 15-8 victory over the Athletics.

Semien led off the game with a solo blast off Ross Stripling before driving in three more runs with a pair of hits in the Rangers' 10-run second inning. Semien would add a fifth RBI with his fourth hit in the fourth. The 33-year-old second-baseman had gone nine games without a homer prior to Wednesday's contest, going 8-for-40 with just two RBI in that span. He's now slashing .266/.314/.449 through 37 games this season with six homers, 27 RBI, 27 runs scored and a stolen base.

  • Jorge Mateo SS | ATL

Orioles' Jorge Mateo: Not in Tuesday's lineup

Mateo is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game at Washington, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.

Mateo started the previous four games and will head to the bench after going 3-for-14 with two homers. Jordan Westburg will shift to the keystone while Ramon Urias starts at third base.

  • Colt Keith 3B | DET

Tigers' Colt Keith: On bench Tuesday

Keith is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Guardians.

Keith will get the day off as Andy Ibanez takes over at second base and hits leadoff. The 22-year-old has struggled in his first month-plus of big league action, slashing .158/.232/.178 over 112 plate appearances.

  • Luis Rengifo 3B | SD

Angels' Luis Rengifo: Sitting again Tuesday

Rengifo (illness) is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Pirates, Erica Weston of Bally Sports West reports.

Rengifo hasn't been in the lineup since Friday due to the illness, and his absence will extend to four games Tuesday. Cole Tucker will receive another start at the hot corner for the Halos.

  • Zack Gelof 3B | ATH

Athletics' Zack Gelof: Takes light swings in cage

Gelof (oblique) has progressed to taking light swings in the batting cage, but he remains without a firm timetable for return, MLB.com reports.

It's been an eventful last few days on the recovery front for Gelof, who resumed some baseball activities by fielding grounders and playing catch Wednesday and then threw across the infield before the Athletics' game Friday. The progression to picking up a bat is another step in the right direction, but the team remains committed to not sending Gelof out on a rehab assignment prematurely due to the risk of aggravating the injury.

  • Royals' Michael Massey: Pops homer in win

Massey went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Monday's 3-2 win over the Brewers.

Massey got the Royals on the board in the seventh inning. The second baseman continues to hit well after a brief stretch to get up to speed following his April 19 season debut. Massey has hit safely in nine straight games and has an extra-base hit in five of the last six contests. He's slashing .294/.308/.529 with three homers, 10 RBI, nine runs scored, three doubles and no stolen bases through 53 plate appearances.

  • Nicky Lopez 2B | TEX

White Sox's Nicky Lopez: Back in action Monday

Lopez (adductor) will start at second base and bat ninth in Monday's game against the Rays.

Lopez was held out of the lineup for Sunday's 5-1 win over the Cardinals with adductor soreness, but the injury was apparently just a minor concern. After serving as the White Sox's leadoff hitter in each of his last 12 starts, the lefty-hitting Lopez will drop the bottom of the order Monday, likely because Chicago is opposing a southpaw in Tyler Alexander.

  • Luis Rengifo 3B | SD

Angels' Luis Rengifo: Scratched from lineup

Rengifo was scratched from the lineup for Monday's game in Pittsburgh, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

He had been set to return following a two-game absence due to illness, but Fletcher relays that Rengifo is still experiencing some symptoms of the ailment and will get another day off to recover. Brandon Drury was added to the lineup as Rengifo's replacement at second base.

  • Angels' Brandon Drury: Added to Monday's lineup

Drury will start at second base and bat sixth in Monday's game against the Pirates, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

Drury was initially slated to receive the day off, but he'll end up handling his usual role as the starting second baseman after Luis Rengifo (illness) was scratched. The 31-year-old Drury heads into Monday's contest in a 2-for-31 funk at the plate over his last 10 games.

  • Angels' Brandon Drury: Absent from lineup

Drury is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Pirates, Erica Weston of Bally Sports West reports.

Drury played the last two games after missing the two contests before that with a migraine. He's also missed time recently with a hamstring issue and has managed just two hits in his last 31 at-bats. Luis Rengifo will replace Drury at second base Monday.
