Director of sports medicine Todd Tomczyk said Bell (oblique) continues to improve even though he isn't eligible to come off the disabled list until Tuesday, the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reports.

While Tomczyk wouldn't confirm a Tuesday return for Bell, it looks like the first baseman dodged a more serious and lengthy injury. Although he's hit a disappointing six homers, the 25-year-old has lifted his OPS 53 points (.698 to .749) since June 23.

Calhoun went 1-for-2 with two walks and a solo home run in Wednesday's 7-2 loss to the Rays.

He's reached base in 11 straight games since the All-Star break, hitting .357 (15-for-42) with five homers, 10 runs and 15 RBI over that stretch. Calhoun now has 14 home runs on the year and his slash line continues its climb towards respectability after his brutal first half, now standing at .211/.271/.391.

Voit will be called up ahead of Thursday's matchup against the Red Sox, DJ Eberle of the Times Leader News reports.

Voit was shipped from the Cardinals to the Yankees on Saturday, and after initially being assigned to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, he'll head to the majors. The 27-year-old first baseman appeared in just eight games for the Cardinals in 2018, going 2-for-11 with a homer and three RBI over that span. He'll serve as an extra bat off the bench during his time in the big leagues.

Cron is not in the lineup Wednesday against the Angels, Juan Toribio of The Athletic Tampa Bay reports.

Cron hit .338 with six homers and a 1.072 OPS in the month of July. Ji-Man Choi will take his spot as the Rays' designated hitter Wednesday.

Olson went 2-for-4 with a two-run single, a double and a run in a win over the Blue Jays on Tuesday.

Although he limped to a .220 average overall during the month of July, Olson went 5-for-12 with two doubles and Tuesday's pair of RBI over the last three games. Olson isn't keeping anywhere near the same frenetic home-run pace he established during his 2017 rookie campaign, but he's still blasted an impressive 21 round trippers and compiled 40 extra-base hits overall across 451 plate appearances this season.

Guerrero went 0-for-1 with three walks, two runs and an RBI in his debut Tuesday for Triple-A Buffalo in the affiliate's 11-8 loss to Lehigh Valley.

There were about 4,000 more fans in attendance than usual at Coca-Cola Field in Buffalo in anticipation of Guerrero's debut, and the 19-year-old didn't disappoint. While he failed to provide any splashy highlights, the three-walk performance exemplifies Guerrero's top-notch plate discipline, which helped him deliver a .449 on-base percentage over 61 games at Double-A New Hampshire. There's little doubt at this point that Guerrero is big-league ready, but the third baseman may continue to marinate in the International League for the rest of the season with the non-contending Blue Jays perhaps motivated to delay the start of his MLB service clock until 2019.

Flores (illness) will man first base and bat third against the Nationals on Wednesday, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

Flores will not miss any additional time after leaving Tuesday's game due to dizziness and dehydration in the first inning. Over 24 games in July, he hit .276 with a .764 OPS and eight RBI.

Calhoun went 3-for-4 with a home run and three RBI in Tuesday's 10-6 loss to the Rays.

Calhoun has risen from the ashes in July, slashing .322/.378/.759 with 10 homers and 25 RBI following an abysmal first three months of the season (.162/.216/.224). The 30-year-old's recent hot play and placement atop the order against righties has restored his status as a viable mixed-league fantasy outfielder.

O'Hearn went 1-for-3 with a two-run homer, a walk and two runs scored in Tuesday's win over the White Sox.

O'Hearn connected for a two-run shot off James Shields in his MLB debut. Prior to getting called up, the 25-year-old was hitting .232 with 11 homers and 52 RBI in 100 games for Triple-A Omaha. O'Hearn figures to see some time at first base as well as at designated hitter.

Flores left Tuesday's game against the Nationals due to dizziness and dehydration, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

Flores hit a double in the top of the first inning but exited part-way through the bottom half of the inning due to the issues. The 26-year-old should be considered day-to-day for the time being.
