Smith was 0-for-2 with a walk before he was replaced prior to the sixth inning. He figures to be further evaluated Sunday, but consider him day-to-day in the meantime.

Bell went 1-for-2 with two runs, two walks and a solo home run in Saturday's 5-1 win over the Marlins.

Abreu was hoping to return at some point this weekend as his recovery from surgery has gone smoothly, and he could still be activated for Sunday's series finale. The White Sox could very well play things safe and wait until Monday at Kansas City to return the 31-year-old from the disabled list.

Shaw is not starting Saturday against southpaw Gio Gonzalez and the Brewers.

Shaw has gone just 1-for-17 in his first seven big-league games. Hunter Pence will get the start in left field Saturday.

Olson is not in the lineup against the Rangers on Saturday, Evan Grant of the Dallas Morning News reports.

Hoskins went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 4-3 win over the Mets.

He'd been mired in a 2-for-27 slump over his last eight games, but Hoskins made his 28th homer of the season count, breaking a 3-3 tie with his eighth-inning shot. Half of those home runs have come in 45 games since the All-Star break, but his .235/.344/.542 slash line over that stretch is still a step backwards from his breakout 2017.

Goldschmidt went 2-for-2 with a home run, a second run scored and three walks in Friday's victory over the Braves.

Goldschmidt got things started early with a solo shot in the first inning, and he ended up reaching base in all five of his plate appearances. He now has a homer in back-to-back games, and he has collected at least one hit in his last eight games. Goldschmidt continues to showcase that he's one of the best hitters in the game, and Friday's effort boosted his slash line to .300/.403/.561 on the season.

Tellez went 2-for-5 with two doubles, an RBI and a run scored in Friday's win over Cleveland

In just three games since being called up from the minors, Tellez has gone an impressive 6-for-10 with six doubles and three RBI. While Justin Smoak and Kendrys Morales still present road blocks between Tellez and regular playing time, the rookie's usage so far suggests the Blue Jays might give him a long look over the final weeks of the season.
