Abreu went 1-for-1 with a home run and four RBI in Saturday's 8-7 loss to the Angels.

Abreu was also hit by pitches twice and had a sacrifice fly in the game. The home run was his 30th of the season, and he became the fourth White Sox player to record at least four seasons with 30 home runs and 100 RBI, joining Frank Thomas (eight times), Paul Konerko (five) and Magglio Ordonez (four). The four RBI vaulted him to the top of the AL with 111 runs driven in.

Olson went 4-for-4 with a home run, three RBI, two runs, and a walk in Saturday's 10-2 win over the Tigers.

The monster night began as Olson scored the tying run in the fourth inning on a Ramon Laureano single. He then homered off Tigers starter Jordan Zimmermann in the fifth inning and added his two-run single in the sixth. The first baseman is on a 10-game hitting streak, batting .390 (16-for-41) with three homers, seven RBI and 10 runs scored in that span. For the year, Olson is slashing .275/.359/.544, matching his career high with 29 homers and adding 73 RBI and 61 runs in 108 games.

Gurriel (hamstring) won't play this weekend and needs a few more days to recover, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Gurriel is dealing with hamstring discomfort, an injury which forced him to leave Friday's game against the Mariners. Aledmys Diaz starts in his place at first base Saturday and appears to be in line for at least another start or two.

Beaty is not in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Giants.

He has been starting against righties, but Beaty will sit against right-hander Tyler Beede as Cody Bellinger moves to first base and Enrique Hernandez mans center. Beaty got off to a great start and still has an .817 OPS, but he is batting .179 in his last nine games.

Gurriel (hamstring) is not in the lineup for Saturday's game against Seattle, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Gurriel left Friday's game with left hamstring discomfort and will rest for at least one game. Aledmys Diaz starts at first base in his absence, batting fifth.

Smith (foot) was transferred to the 60-day injured list Saturday, Tim Healey of Newsday reports.

As a result of this move, Smith is not eligible to return until Sept. 25. He was cleared for some baseball activities in late August but is far from a lock to play during that final week of the regular season.

O'Hearn will sit against lefty Caleb Smith and the Marlins on Saturday.

O'Hearn has started against just one of the last 21 lefties the Royals have faced. Ryan McBroom starts at first base Saturday.

Flores went 2-for-5 with a double and an RBI in Friday's 7-5 win over the Reds.

For the second consecutive game, Flores was in the lineup against a right-handed starter, a departure from manager Torey Lovullo's established pattern of starting him against left-handers only. While most of his power has come against lefties this season, Flores has a respectable .299 batting average against righties. It looks like Lovullo will use Flores over Jake Lamb for the time being as the Diamondbacks chase down a playoff spot.

Gurriel left Friday's game against Seattle with left hamstring discomfort, Julia Morales of AT&T SportsNet Southwest reports.

Gurriel exited the game after beating out a fielder's choice. He's considered day-to-day. Aledmys Diaz could start at first base if Gurriel is forced to miss time.

Cooper is not in Friday's lineup against the Royals.

He is hitting .243 with two home runs over his last 10 games. Neil Walker is starting at first base and hitting cleanup.
