Walker was placed on the 10-day injured list Wednesday with right oblique soreness.

The first baseman just returned from the IL on May 3 after a strained right oblique sidelined him for nearly a month, so this latest development could mean an aggravation of that injury. Walker, hitting .203 on the season, recorded a hit in six of his seven games after returning from the first IL stint. Infielder Andrew Young was recalled to replace Walker on the active roster.

Bell is out of Wednesday's lineup against the Phillies, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.

The switch-hitting first baseman receives a day off after going 3-for-25 in his last six games. Bell has 28 strikeouts to just six walks this season, getting on base at a lowly .200 clip. Ryan Zimmerman gets the start at first base.

Alonso went 1-for-2 with a double, two walks and two runs scored in Wednesday's 7-1 victory over the Orioles.

The first baseman is hitting just 3-for-21 in his last seven games, but he has scored seven runs in that span. Power figures to become more prominent in Alonso's game, as he's homered just five times on the season, the most recent of which being April 25. Regardless, he's getting on base and scoring at a respectable rate, which will maintain his legitimate fantasy value even without remarkable home run totals.

Dalbec isn't in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Athletics, Chris Cotillo of The Springfield Republican reports.

Dalbec will be out of the lineup for a second straight game after he went 2-for-12 with a double, two RBI and three strikeouts in his last three appearances. Michael Chavis will start at first base and bat ninth.

Smith went 3-for-4 with a double, two RBI and a run scored during Wednesday's 7-1 win over Baltimore.

The 25-year-old delivered an RBI single during the third inning and brought home another run with a double two frames later. Smith is 8-for-22 with three walks, five RBI and three runs in his past seven appearances.

Tellez is out of the lineup for Thursday's game in Atlanta.

For the second straight day, Tellez will take a seat with no designated hitter spot available for the Blue Jays in Atlanta. Unless manager Charlie Montoyo chooses to give Vladimir Guerrero a day off Thursday, Tellez will likely be on the bench again in the series finale.

Guerrero went 3-for-5 with a home run and three RBI in Tuesday's 5-3 win over the Braves.

Guerrero failed to get on in his first two at-bats but tied up the game in the sixth with a two-run homer to right field and then evened it up again in the eighth with an RBI single. The 22-year-old is top 10 in baseball in batting average (.322), on-base percentage (.452) and OPS (1.028). He's hit eight home runs to go with 25 runs and 26 RBI to go along with an impressive 25:25 BB:K.

Walker was removed from Tuesday's win over the Marlins with discomfort in his right oblique muscle, Steve Gilbert of MLB.com reports.

Walker was pulled during the seventh inning after going 1-for-3 and replaced by Pavin Smith at first base. He spent three weeks on the injured list due to a strained right oblique from April 12 to May 3.

Cronenworth went 2-for-4 with a double, a walk and two runs scored in the Padres' 8-1 win over the Rockies on Tuesday.

Cronenworth reached base safely three times in the game Tuesday and recorded his third multi-hit game in a row. The 27-year-old has at least one hit in 10 of his last 11 games. Due to his recent success, he has received more at-bats at the top of the lineup. He is slashing .286/.364/.429 in 152 plate appearances and shares the Padres' lead in extra-base hits alongside Fernando Tatis with 12.

Cabrera went 4-for-5 with a three-run home run and a double in Tuesday's 11-3 victory over the Marlins.

The veteran infielder's fourth hit of the night was a three-run shot to right field that put the exclamation point on the blowout win. Cabrera has now collected at least one hit in five straight games, going 9-for-18 with two homers and six RBI over the span. The 35-year-old is slashing .290/.398/.486 overall this season.
