Manager Dave Martinez said the MRI on Bell's right hamstring came back "pretty clean," but the first baseman won't be in the lineup Sunday against the Giants, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports. He could be available off the bench as a pinch hitter.

The 29-year-old was removed from Saturday's contest with tightness in his right hamstring, but he appears to have avoided a serious injury. Bell also exited a contest earlier this week with a knee issue but didn't end up missing any time for that injury. He'll have Monday's scheduled off day to aid in his recovery before potentially sitting out additional games. Maikel Franco will shift to first base in his place while Lucius Fox fills in at the hot corner.

Cronenworth went 2-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in a 3-2 victory against the Dodgers on Saturday.

Cronenworth singled in the first inning and tacked on a solo shot in the third to extend San Diego's lead to 2-0 and break out of a major slump. Prior to Saturday's game, the 28-year-old had gone hitless across his previous seven games, a streak that spanned 23 at-bats and saw his average fall from .296 to .160. He's still reaching base at a solid .343 clip thanks to 11 walks compared to 10 hits, but his .189 average and .302 slugging stand to experience some positive regression with career marks of .265 and .453.

Rivas went 3-for-6 with a three-run home run and five total RBI in Saturday's win over the Pirates.

The Cubs exploded for 21 runs, but Rivas hit the only home run for Chicago in the second inning. It was the first long ball of the season for the 25-year-old, who now has a robust 1.182 OPS, albeit in just 11 at-bats. The regular playing time isn't there yet for Rivas, but he could potentially earn an expanded role at some point.

Bell's early exit Saturday against San Francisco was due to right hamstring tightness, Andrew Golden of the Washington Post reports. He will undergo an MRI.

Bell has now left two games in four days, though his previous exit Wednesday was due to a seemingly unrelated issue with his left knee. He didn't miss any time due to that injury, but it's not yet clear whether or not he'll miss time this time around. Clarity should emerge once the results of his MRI are known.

Voit is dealing with a biceps injury, Jeff Sanders of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

The injury explains why Voit is out of the lineup against the left-handed Tyler Anderson on Saturday. The extent of Voit's injury is not yet known, but manager Bob Melvin didn't rule out a trip to the injured list. Voit will undergo tests to determine exactly what type of issue he is dealing with, at which point his expected return date should become clearer.

Cooper will sit Saturday against Atlanta, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.

Cooper sits for just the second time this season. Jesus Aguilar starts at first base, with Avisail Garcia serving as the designated hitter.

Voit will sit Saturday against the Dodgers.

Voit has now been on the bench in two of the last three games. His absence Saturday against lefty Tyler Anderson marks the first time he's sat against a southpaw this season. Eric Hosmer starts at first base, while Jorge Alfaro will be the designated hitter.

Bell was removed from Saturday's game against the Giants prior to the top of the third inning, Dan Kolko of MASN Sports reports.

The reason for Bell's removal was not disclosed, but he was forced to leave a game early for the second time this week. Bell's status will be updated again when more information is released.

Olson went 1-for-4 with a double, two RBI and a run scored in Friday's win over the Marlins.

After crossing the plate with the game's first run in the bottom of the first inning, Olson gave his squad some insurance in the seventh with a two-run double. The first baseman is quickly making Atlanta fans feel better about the departure of Freddie Freeman, as Olson is slashing .389/.500/.630 with two homers, four RBI and 10 runs through his first 15 games of 2022.

Walker went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run in a 6-5 loss to the Mets on Friday.

Walker didn't do much early, but his eighth-inning shot off New York reliever Trevor May brought Arizona to within one run of the lead. The 31-year-old has put together a modest five-game on-base streak to bump his OPS from .583 to .648, though he'll need to start producing numbers like he did in 2019 and 2020 (.824 and .792 slugging percentage, respectively) to truly make an impact.
