  • Giants' Wilmer Flores: Delivers walkoff blast

Flores went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run and a double in Sunday's 5-3 win over the Phillies.

Flores saved the best for last, taking Phillies reliever David Robertson deep for a walkoff homer in the ninth inning. The long ball was Flores' first since Aug. 1, and he slashed a paltry .217/.336/.293 in the 27 games between homers. The infielder has often been one of the steadiest presences in the Giants' lineup this year, posting a .246/.332/.429 slash line with 17 homers, 63 RBI, 65 runs scored and 26 doubles through 125 contests.

  • Donovan Solano 1B | TEX

Reds' Donovan Solano: Rests for second game of twin bill

Solano is out of the lineup for the second game of Sunday's doubleheader with the Rockies, Charlie Goldsmith of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Solano will get a breather for the second game of the twin bill after he went 0-for-4 in the Reds' 8-4 loss in Game 1, dropping his season average to .309. Jonathan India, who played second base in Game 1, will replace Solano at DH in Game 2.

  • Garrett Cooper 1B | ATL

Marlins' Garrett Cooper: Rejoins lineup Sunday

Cooper (personal) will start at first base and bat third in Sunday's game against Atlanta, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.

Cooper wasn't available for Saturday's 2-1 loss after he was scratched from the lineup ahead of the contest due to a personal matter, but he'll be back in action for the Marlins for the series finale. Since making his first All-Star Game appearance in July, Cooper has noticed a sharp downturn in productivity while also spending time on the injured list due to a bruised wrist and a concussion. Over his 21 games in the second half, Cooper is slashing just .103/.246/.190.

  • Rowdy Tellez 1B | ATL

Brewers' Rowdy Tellez: Swats clutch homer

Tellez homered in his only at-bat against the Diamondbacks in an 8-6 extra-inning win Saturday.

Tellez didn't start the contest, but he was used as a pinch hitter with Milwaukee down by a run in the top of the ninth inning. He came through with a solo shot to center field to send the game to extra frames. Tellez is in the midst of his best MLB campaign, posting a career-high 28 homers and 76 RBI over 488 plate appearances.

  • Dodgers' Freddie Freeman: Perfect at plate Saturday

Freeman went 3-for-3 with a walk, three runs and an RBI in a 12-1 victory over San Diego on Saturday.

Freeman served as a table-setter from the three-spot, reaching base in all four of his plate appearances and scoring three times. Remarkably, this was the All-Star first baseman's 18th game of three or more hits this season and the eighth time he's reached base four times in a contest. Freeman leads the league with 168 hits and 43 doubles and ranks second in batting average at .326, behind Paul Goldschmidt's .331 mark.

  • Cardinals' Paul Goldschmidt: Homers, swipes bag

Goldschmidt went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run, a walk, an additional run and a stolen base during Saturday's 8-4 victory over the Cubs.

Goldschmidt got St. Louis on the board with a two-run home run off Chicago starter Drew Smyly in the bottom of the first inning. In the third, Goldschmidt singled, stole third and scored, and he walked in the sixth. The two-hit game snapped a recent 1-for-14 slump while the homer was the 34-year-old's first extra-base hit since two long balls Aug. 25, which were also against the Cubs. Goldschmidt and his 34 home runs now sit two behind NL leader Kyle Schwarber while his 107 RBI and .331 average pace the Senior Circuit.

  • Garrett Cooper 1B | ATL

Marlins' Garrett Cooper: Scratched from lineup

Cooper was scratched from the lineup for Saturday's game against Atlanta due to personal reasons, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.

The specific reason for Cooper's absence has not been announced, so it's not clear if he's at risk of missing multiple games. Jerar Encarnacion will serve as the designated hitter in his absence.

  • Rowdy Tellez 1B | ATL

Brewers' Rowdy Tellez: On bench Saturday

Tellez isn't starting Saturday against Arizona.

Tellez started the last three games but went just 1-for-13 with a walk and five strikeouts. Keston Hiura will take over at first base and bat fifth.

  • Giants' Wilmer Flores: Not starting Saturday

Flores isn't in the lineup Saturday against Philadelphia.

Flores crossed the plate three times during Friday's blowout win over the Phillies, but he'll get a breather a day later. Tommy La Stella is serving as the designated hitter and batting seventh.

  • Giants' Wilmer Flores: Scores thrice in win

Flores went 0-for-2 with three walks, one RBI and three runs scored in Friday's 13-1 win over the Phillies.

Flores made an impact with patience, walking three times for the first time all season. The infielder also reached on a fielder's choice in the contest. For the season, he's walking at a career-high 10.4 percent rate. Flores owns a .245/.333/.422 slash line with 16 home runs, 61 RBI, 64 runs scored and 25 doubles through 123 contests, though he's been a little worse since the start of August (.234/.348/.340).
