Hoskins is not in the starting lineup for Sunday's game against the Mets.

Hoskins will rest for the regular-season finale as Jake Bauers starts at first base and bats in the cleanup spot. Barring a pinch-hit appearance Sunday, Hoskins will end the 2024 regular season with a .214/.303/.419 slash line, 26 home runs and 82 RBI across 515 plate appearances.

Manager Dave Roberts said Sunday that he fully expects Freeman (ankle) to be in the lineup for Game 1 of the NLDS, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.

It's not quite a lock that Freeman will be ready, since the skipper is discussing contingency plans that would involve Enrique Hernandez starting at the hot corner and Max Muncy shifting to first base. Freeman exited Thursday's game with an ankle injury and was seen on crutches and in a walking boot as the Dodgers looked to keep the swelling down.

Harper is absent from Sunday's lineup against Washington.

Harper will begin Sunday's contest in the dugout as Alec Bohm starts at first base and bats fifth. Unless Harper pinch hits, he'll end the regular season with a slash line of .285/.373/.525, seven stolen bases, 30 home runs and 87 RBI across 631 plate appearances.

Canha was placed on the 10-day injured list Sunday with a right thumb sprain.

Canha has played his final game of 2024 and will enter free agency this offseason. The righty-hitting 35-year-old will be eligible at first base and outfield in fantasy next year, but he only managed seven home runs and seven steals in 462 plate appearances this season.

Goldschmidt went 3-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI and a run scored in Saturday's 6-5 loss to the Giants.

Goldschmidt made two outs in the contest, and he generated an RBI on each of those plays. One was a sacrifice fly and the other was a groundout. He's batting .250 (9-for-36) over his last nine games and now has a .245/.301/.412 slash line with 22 home runs, 64 RBI, 70 runs scored, 11 stolen bases and 32 doubles over 153 contests.

Cronenworth is absent from Saturday's lineup against Arizona.

Cronenworth and several other Padres starters are getting Saturday night off as the team has already clinched a spot in the postseason. Nick Ahmed will start at second base and bat fifth.

Arraez is absent from Saturday's lineup against the Diamondbacks.

The Padres will sit Arraez and other starters having already clinched a spot in the postseason, per Bob Nightengale of USA Today. Arraez's .314 batting average is the only thing standing in the way of Shohei Ohtani's pursuit of the Triple Crown. Jurickson Profar will serve as the designated hitter and bat in the leadoff spot against Diamondbacks southpaw Eduardo Rodriguez.

Bauers isn't in the Brewers' lineup Saturday against the Mets.

Milwaukee will face a left-handed starter for the second straight game Saturday, so the left-handed bat of Bauers will stay put in the dugout for the second time in a row. Gary Sanchez will fill in as the Brewers' DH and bat sixth.

Bride went 2-for-4 with two home runs, three RBI and a walk in Friday's win over the Blue Jays.

Bride knocked a two-run homer in the first inning and capped off Miami's 15-run outburst with a solo shot in the eighth. He's gone 9-for-21 (.429) with four home runs over his last five games. Bride is up to 11 homers this season with an .814 OPS and 36 RBI through 264 plate appearances.

Hoskins went 1-for-4 with a grand slam in Friday's 8-4 win against the Mets.

The 31-year-old opened the game's scoring by slugging a 386-foot grand slam in the opening frame off Sean Manaea. This marks the fifth grand slam of Hoskins' career and third this season. He now sports a .215/.303/.422 slash line with 26 homers, 82 RBI and 58 runs across 513 plate appearances this season.
