  • Alex Kirilloff LF | MIN

Twins' Alex Kirilloff: Swipes first bag in majors

Kirilloff went 2-for-4 with two walks, an RBI and a stolen base in Monday's 7-5 extra-innings win over the Reds.

The steal was his first in 39 big-league games -- not surprising for a player with a career high of seven (on 13 attempts) in the minors. Kirilloff has picked up his pace a bit at the plate in June, slashing .288/.354/.407 through 17 contests, but the 23-year-old hasn't yet met his lofty expectations.

  • Josh Naylor 1B | SEA

Indians' Josh Naylor: Knocks sixth homer

Naylor went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer in Monday's 4-0 win over the Cubs.

Naylor's home run in the fifth inning was his sixth of the season and first of June. Entering Monday's game, the 24-year-old had just four extra-base hits and a .587 OPS in 15 games this month. He's slashing .255/.302/.395 through 235 plate appearances this season.

  • Ryan O'Hearn 1B | PIT

Royals' Ryan O'Hearn: Returns to big club

The Royals recalled O'Hearn from Triple-A Omaha on Monday.

Kansas City placed middle infielder Adalberto Mondesi (oblique) on the 10-day injured list to clear a spot for O'Hearn. So long as both Carlos Santana and Jorge Soler are healthy, O'Hearn likely won't have a clear path to regular at-bats at either first base or designated hitter, so he's expected to serve mostly as a lefty-hitting option off the bench during his time in Kansas City.

  • Bobby Dalbec 1B | CHW

Red Sox's Bobby Dalbec: Two more hits Sunday

Dalbec went 2-for-4 in Sunday's 7-3 loss to the Royals.

Dalbec recorded his fourth multi-hit effort in the last nine games and has hit safely in eight of those contests. During that stretch, he's 13-for-34 with six extra-base hits, eight RBI and six runs scored. He's worked on the timing of a leg kick, but Dalbec also choked up on the bat, per Jordan Horrobin of MLB.com. That has shortened his swing and improved his bat-to-ball timing. At a time when the slumping Dalbec was losing at-bats to Danny Santana, the young slugger has fended off the challenge.

  • Ty France 1B | SD

Mariners' Ty France: Headed for MRI on wrist

France, whose wrist was briefly attended to by a trainer during Sunday's extra-inning win over the Rays, will get an MRI on Monday, the Associated Press reports. He finished Sunday's contest 1-for-3 with a solo home run.

France held his wrist after a swinging strikeout that ended the ninth inning, but he remained in the game for the top of the 10th before being removed for Taylor Trammell. France, who is hitting a blistering .433 over his last eight games, spent time on the injured list earlier in the season due to wrist inflammation, missing the minimum 10 days in that instance.

  • Matt Olson 1B | ATL

Athletics' Matt Olson: Swats 20th home run

Olson went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a strikeout in Sunday's 2-1 loss to the Athletics.

Olson has reached base in each of the last 19 games, and he's had multi-hit efforts in three of his last four appearances. Across the last four contests, he's gone 9-for-18 with two home runs, five RBI, three runs and a stolen base.

  • Chris Gittens 1B | HOU

Yankees' Chris Gittens: Returns to minors

Gittens was optioned to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre after Sunday's win over Oakland.

Gittens has been in the majors the past couple weeks but will return to Triple-A with Luke Voit (oblique) expected to return from the injured list Tuesday. Gittens appeared in nine games and went 2-for-19 with a homer and four RBI during his first taste of big-league action.

  • Rowdy Tellez 1B | ATL

Blue Jays' Rowdy Tellez: Sitting third straight game

Tellez is not in the lineup Sunday against the Orioles.

Tellez is sitting out the third straight game and is 0-for-8 in his past four appearances. Teoscar Hernandez will bat cleanup as the designated hitter in his return from the paternity list. Santiago Espinal has filled a regular spot in the lineup and could continue to do so until George Springer (quadriceps) is activated.

  • Matt Olson 1B | ATL

Athletics' Matt Olson: Delivers three hits in loss

Olson went 3-for-5 with two RBI and a stolen base Saturday in the Athletics' 7-5 loss to the Yankees.

Thanks to his second three-hit game in four days, Olson's average is up to .301 for the season. He's well on his way to sailing past his previous career-best mark in the category (.267), and most impressively Olson hasn't had to sacrifice any power to maintain the lofty average. His 19 home runs on the season are good for fourth place in the majors behind Vladimir Guerrero, Fernando Tatis and Shohei Ohtani.

  • Yuli Gurriel DH | SD

Astros' Yuli Gurriel: Not in Sunday's lineup

Gurriel is out of the lineup Sunday against the White Sox, Danielle Lerner of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Gurriel started the past 17 games after missing three contests with an inflamed finger in late May, but he'll receive the day off Sunday after hitting .339/.400/.525 with three homers, 10 RBI and 12 runs during that stretch. Taylor Jones will start at first base in his absence.
