  • Andrew Vaughn 1B | MIL

White Sox's Andrew Vaughn: Not starting Wednesday

Vaughn isn't starting Wednesday's game against the Pirates.

Vaughn went 0-for-8 with a strikeout across the last two games, and he'll get a breather for Wednesday's series finale. Luis Gonzalez will start in left field and bat eighth.

  • Ryan O'Hearn 1B | PIT

Royals' Ryan O'Hearn: Homers in return

O'Hearn went 2-for-4 with a solo home run, two RBI and another run scored during Tuesday's win over the Yankees.

O'Hearn evened up the score by going deep against Gerrit Cole in the fourth frame. The 27-year-old was batting fourth as the designated hitter in his return to the lineup after Adalberto Mondesi headed back to the injured list (oblique). Following a lackluster go-around at the plate earlier in the season, O'Hearn is batting just .211/.262/.439 with four long balls across 21 games.

  • Luke Voit 1B | NYM

Yankees' Luke Voit: Homers, triples in loss

Voit went 2-for-3 with a solo home run, a triple and a walk during Tuesday's loss to the Royals.

Voit got the scoring started by cranking a 423-foot shot against Brady Singer in the first inning. He nearly swatted his second long ball of the night but it was called back and ruled a triple. It was the second long ball of the year for the 30-year-old, who was activated off the 10-day injured list ahead of Tuesday's game. It's been an injury-ridden start to the season for Voit, who has missed substantial time due to a meniscus tear in his knee and a strained oblique. Across 13 games, he's batting just .213/.315/.383 overall, but it's worth noting that he went 8-for-19 with a pair of homers during rehab action.

  • Ty France 1B | SD

Mariners' Ty France: Plans to play through bone bruise

France (wrist) is in the starting lineup Tuesday against the Rockies, batting fourth as the designated hitter.

France got an MRI after appearing to hurt his wrist during Sunday's win over the Rays. Per Daniel Kramer of MLB.com, the infielder has a bone bruise that he plans to play through, though he'll see how he comes out of batting practice Tuesday. France's availability could very well be a day-by-day case in the coming days.

  • Rowdy Tellez 1B | ATL

Blue Jays' Rowdy Tellez: Optioned to Triple-A

Tellez was optioned to Triple-A Buffalo on Tuesday.

Tellez hasn't proved to be worthy of everyday at-bats this season, as he's struggled to a .209/.272/.338 slash line in 151 trips to the plate. Now that George Springer is back from his quadriceps injury, there's no room for Tellez in the lineup, so he'll head to the minors in hopes of getting his groove back with regular playing time.

  • Evan White 1B | LAA

Mariners' Evan White: Moves to 60-day IL

White (hip) was transferred to the 60-day injured list Tuesday.

White was closing in on being activated from the injured list but suffered a setback in his recovery when he had to exit his rehab outing with Triple-A Tacoma last Thursday. The move to the 60-day IL means the earliest White can be activated is the first game after the All-Star break against the Angels on July 16. Per Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times, White will receive a second opinion on his strained hip flexor in the coming days to get a better idea of a potential recovery timeline. Jake Hager was claimed off waivers and added to the 40-man roster in a corresponding transaction.

  • Nate Lowe 1B | CIN

Rangers' Nate Lowe: Sits against southpaw

Lowe is not in the starting lineup Tuesday against the Athletics.

Lowe has been a regular presence in the Rangers' lineup against both righties and left-handers this season, but he'll yield first base to the recently recalled Andy Ibanez against southpaw Cole Irvin on Tuesday.

  • Ryan O'Hearn 1B | PIT

Royals' Ryan O'Hearn: Starting in return to big club

O'Hearn is in the starting lineup Tuesday against the Yankees, batting fourth as the designated hitter.

O'Hearn was recalled Monday after Adalberto Mondesi landed on the injured list once again with an oblique injury. In a somewhat surprising decision, O'Hearn will immediately be inserted into the middle of Kansas City's lineup. O'Hearn struggled at the plate during his previous stint with the Royals this season, slashing an awful .189/.246/.377 across 53 at-bats before being sent back to Triple-A Omaha on May 28. He'll face a tough task Tuesday with the Yankees sending ace Gerrit Cole to the mound.

  • Luke Voit 1B | NYM

Yankees' Luke Voit: Returns from injured list

Voit (oblique) was activated off the 10-day injured list Tuesday.

Voit has missed most of the year due to injuries, first with a meniscus tear in his knee and then with a strained oblique. He got into just 12 games between the two absences and hit a poor .182/.280/.250 in 50 trips to the plate, but he's looked great in rehab action, going 8-for-19 with a pair of homers.

  • Nate Lowe 1B | CIN

Rangers' Nate Lowe: Doubles in run

Lowe went 1-for-4 with a double, an RBI and a run scored in Monday's 8-3 win over Oakland.

Lowe was part of the Rangers' five-run first inning, knocking in a run with a double and later scoring on Andy Ibanez's three-run home run. Lowe has hit safely in seven of eight contests, going 10-for-32 (.313) with three extra-base hits, five RBI and four runs scored in that span. The Rangers would ideally like more production from Lowe, who has just three homers, 16 RBI and a .660 OPS over the last 49 games, but they don't have many alternatives. That could be why manager Chris Woodward told Evan Grant of the Dallas Morning News that Nick Solak, who was replaced at second base by Ibanez on Monday, will get at-bats at first base.
