Diaz (shoulder) expects to be in Wednesday's lineup against the Guardians, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

According to Topkin, manager Kevin Cash also said he expects Diaz back Wednesday. Diaz is available off the bench Tuesday while Isaac Paredes gets the start at the hot corner.

Aranda is not in Tuesday's lineup against the Guardians, Neil Solondz of the Rays Radio Network reports.

Aranda will sit in favor of Taylor Walls for the second game in a row. While Aranda has a strong track record as a hitter in the minors, his defense is below average, so he needs to be hitting to justify getting at-bats. He is slashing .100/.273/.259 over the last 10 games.

He was supposedly trending in the right direction Sunday and was available off the bench, but Diaz has not appeared in a game since Sept. 19. Isaac Paredes will continue to start at third base.

France went 3-for-5 with a two-run single, a double and a run in a loss to the Royals on Sunday.

France's bat caught fire over the weekend, as he'd also authored a three-hit effort Saturday that included another two-bagger. The 28-year-old owns a .345 average (10-for-29) with eight RBI over his last seven games, a stretch during which he's hit .375 with men on base.

O'Hearn went 2-for-3 with a double, a walk, two RBI and a run scored in Sunday's 13-12 win over the Mariners.

O'Hearn has seen his playing time drop even more since rosters expanded at the start of September -- he's started in just four contests this month. Despite the inconsistent playing time, he's been solid, going 7-for-22 (.318) in his last 10 contests. He hadn't driven in a run since Aug. 22 before his two-run double in the sixth inning Sunday. O'Hearn has a .230/.285/.310 slash line with one home run, five doubles, 13 RBI and 13 runs scored through 137 plate appearances.

Arias went 1-for-4 with a triple, two RBI and one run scored in Sunday's 10-4 win over the Rangers.

Arias got the start Sunday and capitalized with his first career triple on a shot to deep center in the sixth inning to put Cleveland up 6-2. While the big day is encouraging, Arias is more of a defensive specialist and should not be expected to receive regular at-bats. In 323 plate appearances in Triple-A this season, he had an 89 wRC+ with just five stolen bases.

Diaz's sore left shoulder continues to improve and he could be "more available" Sunday off the bench as a pinch hitter, according to manager Kevin Cash, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

The Rays have an off day Monday, so perhaps Diaz will return to the lineup sometime during the series in Cleveland that begins Tuesday. In the meantime, Isaac Paredes is picking up extra starts at third base.

Mountcastle went 3-for-5 with an RBI and a run scored in Saturday's 11-10 loss to the Astros.

Mountcastle has found a groove over the last week, going 8-for-21 (.381) across his last six games, though none of those hits have gone for extra bases. The 25-year-old is up to a .249/.302/.427 slash line through 135 contests while adding 22 home runs, 82 RBI, 59 runs scored and four stolen bases.

Naylor is not in Sunday's lineup against the Rangers.

He will head to the bench with southpaw Cole Ragans toeing the rubber for Texas. Naylor is hitting .364 with two home runs and a stolen base over his last six games.

France collected the most hits of any Mariners player in the narrow win, lacing multiple knocks for the fourth time in the last nine games. The 28-year-old's production has had a feast-or-famine quality to it during that time -- he's gone hitless in the other five contests in the sample -- but France remains a key component of the top half of the Mariners lineup and has already established new career highs in home runs (20) and RBI (79) across 131 games.
