  New Orleans cut Bargas on Monday, Mike Triplett of NewOrleans.Football reports. Bargas signed with the Saints in May after spending all of last season as a free agent. The 26-year-old fullback didn't log any rushing attempts during exhibition play, though he did catch his only target for two yards. He'll now be free to pursue an opportunity with another organization, or he could land on New Orleans' practice squad.

• Bears' Jake Bargas: Lands with Chicago

  Bargas was signed by the Bears on Sunday, Courtney Cronin of ESPN.com reports. Bargas spent the last two seasons with the Vikings, mostly on their practice squad. The 25-year-old will be the third fullback on the Bears' roster, which already has Khari Blasingame and Jake Tonges.

  The Vikings signed Bargas on Monday, Craig Peters of the Vikings' official site reports. Bargas will return to Minnesota after spending each of the past two years on the Vikings' practice squad. The fullback appeared in one game last season, playing five snaps on special teams.

  The Vikings signed Bargas to a reserve/future contract Monday, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports. Bargas signed with the Vikings as an undrafted free agent in May. The North Carolina product failed to make the 53-man roster out of training camp, but he was elevated for gameday once, logging seven snaps on offense. Bargas is simply injury insurance behind C.J. Ham, who has three years remaining on his contract that averages $3.6 million per season.

  Bargas was promoted from the Vikings' practice squad Thursday, Chris Tomasson of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports. Bargas has been working with Minnesota's practice squad throughout the season, and he'll now have the opportunity to see his first NFL action Friday against New Orleans. The move comes in response to C.J. Ham's (quadriceps) questionable status for the Christmas Day clash.
