Jake Bargas: Let go by Saints
New Orleans cut Bargas on Monday, Mike Triplett of NewOrleans.Football reports.
Bargas signed with the Saints in May after spending all of last season as a free agent. The 26-year-old fullback didn't log any rushing attempts during exhibition play, though he did catch his only target for two yards. He'll now be free to pursue an opportunity with another organization, or he could land on New Orleans' practice squad.

Jake Bargas: Placed on practice squad COVID list
Bargas (undisclosed) was placed on the practice squad COVID-19 list Monday.

Jake Bargas: Set to hit waivers
The Vikings waived Bargas on Tuesday, Chris Tomasson of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
Bargas spent his rookie season with the Vikings where he played a minimal role in one game and spent most of the season on the practice squad. With C.J. Ham ahead of Bargas on the depth chart, it was unlikely that Minnesota was going to keep two fullbacks. The 24-year-old fullback could potentially rejoin the Vikings practice squad if he isn't claimed off waivers.

Vikings' Jake Bargas: Retained in Minnesota
The Vikings signed Bargas to a reserve/future contract Monday, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports.
Bargas signed with the Vikings as an undrafted free agent in May. The North Carolina product failed to make the 53-man roster out of training camp, but he was elevated for gameday once, logging seven snaps on offense. Bargas is simply injury insurance behind C.J. Ham, who has three years remaining on his contract that averages $3.6 million per season.

Jake Bargas: Back to practice squad
Bargas reverted to the Vikings' practice squad Saturday, per the NFL's official transaction log.
An undrafted rookie out of North Carolina, Bargas made his NFL debut in Friday's 52-33 loss to the Saints because starting fullback C.J. Ham (quadriceps) was inactive. Bargas played seven of 64 snaps on offense but didn't touch the ball.

Bargas was promoted from the Vikings' practice squad Thursday, Chris Tomasson of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
Bargas has been working with Minnesota's practice squad throughout the season, and he'll now have the opportunity to see his first NFL action Friday against New Orleans. The move comes in response to C.J. Ham's (quadriceps) questionable status for the Christmas Day clash.
