Panthers' Phil Hoskins: Activated off reserve/COVID-19 list

Hoskins was activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list Wednesday, Aaron Wilson of Sportstalk 790 Houston reports. The defensive tackle missed the Panthers' final two games of the season after being placed on the COVID list Dec. 28. Hoskins finished his rookie season with four tackles including one sack while appearing in three contests.

Hoskins (illness) was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list Monday, Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official site reports, and he tested positive for the virus, according to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network. Hoskins missed Week 16 against Tampa Bay with a back injury, but now he'll also have to clear COVID protocols before he can get cleared to play Sunday against the Saints.
