  • Raiders' Patrick Johnson: Signs with Las Vegas

Johnson signed with the Raiders on Monday. The seventh-round pick of the Eagles in 2021 has spent most of his career with his original team, including a nine-game regular-season stint in 2025 in which he recorded eight tackles (five solo), including 1.0 sacks. Johnson has played on more than 170 special-teams snaps in each of his five NFL seasons, and he can make his case for a roster spot as a special teamer and as a linebacker.

  • Eagles' Patrick Johnson: Back with Philly

Johnson signed a one-year deal with the Eagles on March 14. The 2021 seventh-round pick of the Eagles spent his first three plus seasons with the team before being waived last September. Johnson was claimed by the Giants and played in 12 games with his new team before suffering a knee injury and missing the last three contests of the regular season. The linebacker recorded four tackles (three solo) in 2024 and has played more on special teams than defense in all four of his NFL seasons.

  • Giants' Patrick Johnson: Headed to IR

The Giants placed Johnson (knee) on injured reserve Saturday. Johnson sustained a knee injury during last week's loss to the Ravens, and he did not practice before being ruled out ahead of this Sunday's game against the Falcons. The fourth-year linebacker totaled four tackles while serving as a core special-teamer in 12 games with the Giants.

  • Giants' Patrick Johnson: Questionable to return

Johnson exited Sunday's game against the Ravens due to a knee injury, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports. Johnson picked up a knee injury at some point during the first half. The 25-year-old has been a regular contributor on special teams while playing sparingly on defense for the Giants this season, totaling four tackles across 11 appearances.

  • Giants' Patrick Johnson: Lands in Big Apple

Johnson was claimed off waivers by the Giants on Tuesday, Dan Salomone of the team's official site reports. Johnson was in the midst of his fourth season with the Eagles, primarily working as a contributor on special teams. It's likely the Giants brought him on board to handle a similar role while providing depth in their linebacker corps.

  • Eagles' Patrick Johnson: Clears injury report Wednesday

Johnson (ankle) did not appear on the Eagles' injury report Wednesday. Johnson was sidelined during practice with an ankle injury in early August, but he appears to be healthy heading into Week 1 against New England. Over 16 games last season, the 2021 seventh-round pick totaled 11 tackles while primarily playing on special teams.

  • Eagles' Patrick Johnson: Logs full practice Thursday

Johnson (ankle) was listed as a full participant on the Eagles' injury report Thursday. Johnson was forced out with an ankle issue during the second half of Sunday's win over the Packers, leaving him limited during Wednesday's walkthrough. However, his ability to practice in full Thursday indicates he should be ready to go against Tennessee in Week 13. Johnson has recorded five tackles and one forced fumble while playing the majority of his snaps on special teams this season, and he'll likely continue to provide depth at linebacker moving forward.

  • Eagles' Patrick Johnson: Won't face Cardinals

Johnson (concussion) has been ruled out for Sunday's matchup against the Cardinals. Johnson suffered a concussion in the Eagles' Week 4 win over the Jaguars. • Eagles' Patrick Johnson: Logs full practice

Johnson (back) was a full practice participant Friday, Jeff McLane of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports. Johnson suffered the injury during the team's Week 13 win over the Jets, and he also had the benefit of a bye week to heal. His full participation Friday should mean that he'll be available for Tuesday's matchup against Washington. Through 13 games this season, Johnson has recorded 11 total tackles while seeing the field primarily on special teams.

  • Eagles' Patrick Johnson: Clear of serious injury

Coach Nick Sirianni said Monday that Johnson's back injury isn't a serious issue, EJ Smith of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports. Johnson suffered the injury during the first half of Sunday's win over the Jets and never retook the field, but it's apparently not a significant injury. The rookie seventh-round pick will have the Week 14 bye to aid in his recovery before Philadelphia takes on Washington on Dec. 19.

  • Eagles' Patrick Johnson: Questionable to return Sunday

Johnson (back) is questionable to return Sunday against the Jets. Johnson left the Eagles' Week 13 matchup in the first half with a back injury. The rookie has mostly played special teams this season, so his absence shouldn't impact Philadelphia's defensive rotations.
