  • Charles Snowden: Signs with Washington's practice squad

The Commanders signed Snowden to the practice squad Tuesday. Snowden was reinstated Tuesday after serving a three-game suspension, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. The linebacker was immediately signed by the Commanders and is expected to be elevated for Sunday's game against the Colts in London. Snowden played 15 regular-season games with the Raiders in 2025, logging 28 tackles (17 solo), including 3.0 sacks, and had two passes defensed, including one interception.

  • Charles Snowden: Parts ways with Dallas

Snowden (undisclosed) and the Cowboys reached an injury settlement Saturday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. Snowden had reverted to IR in early August, so the injury settlement means he won't be forced to miss the entire campaign. However, the 28-year-old is also slated to serve a three-game suspension, which could impact his pursuit of work with another organization. Snowden played the past two seasons with Las Vegas, starting 18 of the 31 games in which he appeared.

  • Charles Snowden: Waived/injured by Dallas

The Cowboys waived/injured Snowden (undisclosed) on Sunday, Tommy Yarrish of the team's official site reports. Snowden is set to serve a three-game suspension to start the 2026 season, an issue that only compounds with a new, unclarified injury. The defensive end will revert to the Cowboys' injured reserve if he clears waivers and will be unable to play during the 2026 season.

  • Cowboys' Charles Snowden: Dealt three-game suspension

Snowden has been suspended the first three regular-season games of the 2026 season, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. Snowden will be eligible to participate in all team activities with the Cowboys until the start of the regular season, including preseason games, but he will then be ineligible to play until Week 4. The 28-year-old former Raider just signed with the Cowboys in June.

  • Cowboys' Charles Snowden: Headed to Dallas

The Cowboys signed Snowden on Thursday, NFL insider Jordan Schultz reports. Snowden has played over 320 defensive snaps in each of the last two seasons. The defensive end recorded 28 tackles (17 solo), including 3.0 sacks, and added two passes defensed for one interception over 15 games during the 2025 regular season for the Raiders. The 28-year-old likely will be a strong depth player who can compete for rotational snaps behind Rashan Gary and Donovan Ezeiruaku.

  • Charles Snowden: Let go by Raiders

Snowden was waived by the Raiders on Saturday, Ryan McFadden of ESPN.com reports. This is a surprising move from the Raiders, as Snowden had played over 320 defensive snaps in each of the last two seasons. He combined to record 4.5 sacks with one interception in that span, so it likely won't take long for him to find a new opportunity around the league.

  • Raiders' Charles Snowden: Signs tender with Las Vegas

Snowden signed his exclusive-rights tender with the Raiders on Tuesday, Ryan McFadden of ESPN.com reports. Snowden will be on the books for $1.075 million after appearing in 15 regular-season contests last season, making nine starts. The defensive end recorded 28 tackles (17 solo), including 3.0 sacks, and two pass breakups, including one interception, while playing 32 percent of the defensive snaps.

  • Raiders' Charles Snowden: Retained by Vegas

The Raiders extended an exclusive rights free agent contract tender to Snowden on Thursday, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports. For the second year in a row, Snowden was brought back as an exclusive rights free agent by the Raiders. He finished the 2025 season with 28 tackles (17 solo), including 3.0 sacks, and two pass breakups, including an interception.

  • Raiders' Charles Snowden: Starts nine games in 2024

Snowden finished the 2024 season with 39 tackles (18 solo), including 1.5 sacks, and four pass breakups across 16 games with Las Vegas. Prior to the 2024 season, Snowden hadn't appeared in a regular-season NFL game since 2021 with the Bears, when he played a total of six defensive snaps across two games, the only previous action of his career. The Raiders, however, kept Snowden on their roster, and he even started nine of the 16 contests in which he played. The 26-year-old set career bests across the board and is slated to be an exclusive-rights free agent. It remains to be seen how he may fit in with the Raiders' new coaching staff.

  • Raiders' Charles Snowden: Secures sack in win

Snowden recorded three total tackles (two solo), including 1.0 sacks, and a pass defensed in Sunday's 20-16 win over the Browns. Snowden was able to secure a game-sealing sack of Deshaun Watson on Cleveland's final snap of the game. The takedown was the first full sack of Snowden's career, and he's now compiled seven total tackles (four solo), including 1.5 sacks, and a pass defensed over four games in 2024.
