  • Colts' Daniel Scott: Officially done for 2025

Scott (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Texans. Scott was placed on injured reserve in early October due to a knee injury. His practice window opened in mid-December, but despite being a full participant in practice all week, the 2023 fifth-rounder will be sidelined for Sunday's regular-season finale. Scott logged two solo tackles across four regular-season games while contributing mostly on special teams and will aim to be fully healthy for the 2026 campaign.

  • Colts' Daniel Scott: Ruled out again

Scott (knee) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's game against the Jaguars. Scott's practice window opened Dec. 18, and he will stay on injured reserve yet another week. The defensive back suffered a knee injury in Week 4 against the Rams and has not played a game since the injury. The 27-year-old was a full participant in practice throughout the week, so his chances of returning in Week 18 to bolster the Colts' special teams unit seem high.

  • Colts' Daniel Scott: Won't play against Las Vegas

Scott has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Raiders due to a knee injury, James Boyd of The Athletic reports. Scott was held out of practice all week due to a knee injury, and his next opportunity to play will be Week 6 against the Cardinals on Sunday, Oct. 12. He's mostly served on special teams, but in his absence, Rodney Thomas will serve as the top depth option at safety behind Nick Cross and Camryn Bynum.

  • Colts' Daniel Scott: Returns to practice

Scott (Achilles) was spotted participating in Wednesday's practice, James Boyd of The Athletic reports. The 2023 fifth-round pick from California has yet to appear in an NFL game after sustaining ACL and Achilles tears in consecutive offseasons. However, he now appears to be past his Achilles injury, having returned to the field Wednesday. Scott is expected to compete for a depth role in the Colts' secondary throughout the summer.

  • Colts' Daniel Scott: Moved to IR

The Colts placed Scott (Achilles) on injured reserve Thursday. This move comes as no surprise, as Scott sustained a torn Achilles during Tuesday's practice and was already ruled out for the Colts' entire 2024 campaign. The 25-year-old was expected to compete for a starting role this offseason after missing his rookie season due to a torn ACL.
