  • Patriots' CJ Dippre: Beginning camp on PUP

Dippre (undisclosed) will be on the active/PUP list to start training camp, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports. Dippre is working through an injury that he may have picked during the offseason. However, he can be activated from the PUP list at any time during training camp. Dippre signed with the Patriots in May of 2025 as an undrafted free agent and spent most of last season on the practice squad. The tight end appeared in two regular-season games, playing a total of 46 snaps (20 on offense, 26 on special teams) without seeing a target.

  • Patriots' CJ Dippre: No injury designation for Week 17

Dippre (illness) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's contest against the Jets. Dippre was deemed a non-participant in practice Tuesday and Wednesday due to an illness, but he was able to log a full session Friday. That will be enough for the rookie tight end to be able to play Sunday. Dippre may not see the field, though, as he's yet to get into a game since he was signed to the active roster Nov. 17.

  • CJ Dippre: Agrees to deal with Patriots

Dippre is slated to sign with the Patriots as an undrafted free agent, Mark Daniels of MassLive.com reports. Dippre posted 757 yards and three touchdowns across his final three college seasons between Maryland and Alabama. He's considered a strong run blocker while being a willing special-teams contributor. Dippre will lean on both of those traits as he aims to earn a roster spot through training camp.
