After going undrafted out of Alabama in 2025, Dippre was able to secure a spot on the Patriots' roster coming out of his first training camp but was limited to just two appearances during the regular season. The 24-year-old couldn't make the cut following his second camp with New England but was able to quickly find a new opportunity in Tampa Bay.

Dippre is working through an injury that he may have picked during the offseason. However, he can be activated from the PUP list at any time during training camp. Dippre signed with the Patriots in May of 2025 as an undrafted free agent and spent most of last season on the practice squad. The tight end appeared in two regular-season games, playing a total of 46 snaps (20 on offense, 26 on special teams) without seeing a target.

Dippre was deemed a non-participant in practice Tuesday and Wednesday due to an illness, but he was able to log a full session Friday. That will be enough for the rookie tight end to be able to play Sunday. Dippre may not see the field, though, as he's yet to get into a game since he was signed to the active roster Nov. 17.

Dippre posted 757 yards and three touchdowns across his final three college seasons between Maryland and Alabama. He's considered a strong run blocker while being a willing special-teams contributor. Dippre will lean on both of those traits as he aims to earn a roster spot through training camp.
