Wood was dealing with a hamstring injury during the preseason but he appears to have recovered from it. The 32-year-old is set to operate as the team's long snapper in Sunday's regular-season opener against Arizona.

Wood (hamstring) didn't participate in New Orleans' practice Tuesday, Katherine Terrell of ESPN reports.
Wood had signed a contract extension with the Saints in July but is now sidelined with an injury. He is currently the only long snapper on the team's roster, so they could be forced to look elsewhere should Wood be forced to miss extended time.
