  • Cortez Broughton: Gets practice squad deal

    Broughton signed with the Chiefs' practice squad Tuesday, Matt Derrick of ChiefsDigest.com reports. Broughton originally joined the Chiefs in February, but he began training camp on the PUP list and was ultimately waived with an injury settlement Aug. 5. Now healthy, Broughton has been brought back and will try and work his way to the active roster.

    Broughton (illness) did not practice Thursday. Broughton has missed three straight games while recovering from mono, and he's trending in the wrong direction for Monday's tilt against the Chiefs.
