Fantasy News

  • Adam Gotsis: Cut by Jacksonville

The Jaguars released Gotsis (shoulder) on Tuesday. Gotsis appears healthy after having missed time earlier in training camp due to a stinger, as he wasn't cut with an injury designation. He suited up for all 17 regular-season games with Jacksonville last year.

  • Jaguars' Adam Gotsis: Dealing with a stinger

Gotsis missed Wednesday's practice with a stinger, Mia O'Brien of 1010 XL 92.5 FM Jacksonville reports. The veteran defensive lineman is dealing with a stinger of some sort, which forced him to miss Wednesday's camp session. Gotsis recorded 26 total tackles, including 1.0 sacks, while also defending four passes across 17 games in 2023, and he'll likely be competing for a depth spot on the Jaguars' 53-man roster once he returns to full health.

  • Jaguars' Adam Gotsis: Back with Jacksonville

The Jaguars re-signed Gotsis on Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of ProFootballNetwork.com reports. Gotsis will return for a third straight season with the Jaguars. Last year, he appeared in 16 games and registered 27 tackles across 426 defensive snaps. He figures to garner a similar role during the 2022 campaign.

  • Broncos' Adam Gotsis: Sidelined Wednesday

Gotsis (knee) didn't participate in Wednesday's practice, Zac Stevens of TheDNVR.com reports. The 2016 second-round pick averages 31.6 defensive snaps per game, registering 16 tackles (10 solo) and two pass breakups through nine outings. If he's unable to suit up Sunday against the Chiefs, it would hurt the depth of the Broncos' defensive line, which already is without Derek Wolfe (elbow) for the season while Dre'Mont Jones (ankle) will likely miss Week 15.

  • Broncos' Adam Gotsis: Legal issue over

Gotsis' (ankle) case from a 2013 incident at Georgia Tech has been dropped, Nicki Jhabvala of The Athletic Denver reports. Since his arrest in March, Gotsis has been in legal limbo. Per Fulton County District Attorney Paul L. Howard, Jr.: "After a careful and thorough investigation, the Fulton County District Attorney's Office has decided not to proceed with the case against Mr. Adam Gotsis. My office understands the sensitivity and significance of these investigations, but the evidence presented does not warrant any further action in this case." With the issue behind him, Gotsis will await word on whether the NFL deems a punishment necessary.

  • Broncos' Adam Gotsis: Active Week 12

Gotsis (ankle) is active for Sunday's game against the Raiders. Gotsis was held out of Wednesday's and Thursday's practice sessions before being limited on Friday. Despite the injury he's a go Sunday, and he'll be expected to start. Expect Shelby Harris to see some extra reps if Gotsis is limited at all.

  • Broncos' Adam Gotsis: Still rehabbing knee

Gotsis (knee) divulged his knee is not yet 100 percent ready to resume practicing, ABC's Troy Renck reports. Gotsis had torn his ACL in 2015 during his final season at Georgia Tech, but although he was Denver's 2016 second-round selection, he will still need to get on the practice field to earn an early-season role during his rookie campaign. When healthy, he will compete with Jared Crick, Vance Walker and Kenny Anunike, among others, for a role in replacing the departed Malik Jackson along the Broncos' defensive line.

  • Broncos' Adam Gotsis: Second-round pick by Denver

The Broncos selected Gotsis in the second round of the 2016 NFL Draft, 63rd overall. Even at the end of the second round, this pick stands out as a reach. Gotsis was a good enough player for Georgia Tech, but he doesn't have much pass-rushing potential, and the Yellow Jackets run defense was awful over the last few years.
