  • Erik Cernak D | TB

Lightning's Erik Cernak: Ready to rock

Cernak (undisclosed) will return to the lineup against Detroit on Tuesday, Benjamin Pierce of the Lightning's official site reports.

Cernak sat out Saturday's 5-4 shootout loss to Nashville with an undisclosed injury. With the 29-year-old blueliner back in the fold, the Lightning will dress seven defensemen and 11 forwards against the Red Wings on Tuesday, with Scott Sabourin serving as a healthy scratch. Cernak has two assists, 15 shots on goal, 17 blocked shots and 25 hits in 12 outings this season.

  • Predators' Jonathan Marchessault: Game-time decision

Marchessault (undisclosed) will be a game-time decision against Carolina on Tuesday, according to Brooks Bratten of the Predators' official site.

Marchessault skipped Monday's practice for maintenance, and whatever he is dealing with could cost him at least one game. He has contributed two goals, five points, 31 shots on net and 15 hits in 14 appearances this season.

  • Joel Hofer G | STL

Blues' Joel Hofer: Facing Rangers Tuesday

Hofer will guard the road paint in Tuesday's clash against the Rangers, per Peter Baugh of The Athletic.

Hofer will look to keep momentum on his side Tuesday after earning his second consecutive win during Saturday's 5-4 victory over the Red Wings. Overall, the 26-year-old backstop has a 6-3-1 record, a 2.42 GAA and a .917 save percentage across 10 outings this season. With four wins over his last five outings and a clear hold over the No. 1 role between the pipes, Hofer is a solid fantasy option in two-goalie formats moving forward. He'll draw a favorable matchup against the Rangers on Tuesday, who currently rank 20th in the NHL with 3.00 goals per game this season.

  • Taylor Ward RW | LA

Kings' Taylor Ward: Sent to AHL

Ward was loaned to AHL Ontario on Tuesday.

Ward has one goal, four shots on net, two blocked shots and nine hits in four NHL outings with Los Angeles this season. He also has two goals and one assist in four AHL appearances this campaign.

  • Stars' Jake Oettinger: Tending twine Tuesday

Oettinger will defend the road goal in Tuesday's clash against the Capitals, per Mike Heika of the Stars' official site.

Oettinger bounced back in Saturday's win over the Blue Jackets, as he stopped 24 of 25 shots on net in the 3-1 win. Overall, the 27-year-old backstop has a 7-3-1 record, a 1.63 GAA and a .921 save percentage over 11 appearances this season. He remains one of the top fantasy options across all formats given his recent run of five wins over his last six outings. He'll face a difficult task Tuesday against the Capitals, who rank 11th in the NHL with 3.38 goals per game this season. Oettinger remains a solid start in fantasy despite the tough matchup.

  • Penguins' Kaedan Korczak: Slated to play Tuesday

Korczak (lower body) is expected to play against Vegas on Tuesday, per Seth Rorabaugh of Tribune-Review Sports.

Korczak participated in Tuesday's optional morning skate after sitting out Monday's session because of a lower-body injury. He has registered six assists, 14 shots on net, 20 blocked shots and 11 hits in 14 appearances this season.

  • Penguins' Evgeni Malkin: Set to miss Tuesday's game

Malkin (lower body) will not play in Tuesday's home clash against the Golden Knights, per Penguins' studio host Dan Potash.

After recently missing a contest due to an illness, Malkin will log his second absence of the 2026-27 campaign with a lower-body injury. When healthy, the 40-year-old star has been excellent, posting six goals, 11 points and 27 shots on net across 13 outings this season. In his absence, Justin Brazeau is expected to make his season debut after recovering from a lower-body injury. Malkin's next chance to return to the lineup is Thursday's home clash against the Bruins.

  • Juuse Saros G | NSH

Predators' Juuse Saros: Facing reigning champs

Saros will defend the home net in Tuesday's clash against the Hurricanes, per Alex Daugherty of The Tennessean.

Saros will look to snap his three-game losing streak Tuesday after being handed his first regulation loss since Oct. 13 in Thursday's loss to the Capitals. Overall, the 31-year-old netminder has a 3-3-4 record, a 2.94 GAA and a .902 save percentage across 10 appearances this season. Despite not being able to find the win column since Oct. 17, Saros remains a fringe No. 2 goalie option in fantasy given his decent stat splits and command over the opportunities in net for Nashville. He'll face a tough test Tuesday, however, against the Hurricanes, making him a risky fantasy option.

  • Wild's Jesper Wallstedt: Facing Flyers

Wallstedt will guard the road goal in Tuesday's clash against the Flyers, per Wild radio broadcaster Joe O'Donnell.

Wallstedt will look to extend his unbeaten-in-regulation streak to five games in Tuesday's road matchup after posting a convincing win over the Capitals on Sunday. Overall, the 23-year-old rising star has a 9-2-3 record, a 2.06 GAA and a .920 save percentage across 14 appearances this season. He currently leads the league in appearances and ranks near the top of multiple major stat categories, making Wallstedt an elite fantasy option for the foreseeable future. He'll draw a favorable matchup against the Flyers on Tuesday, who currently rank last in the NHL with 2.19 goals per game this season.

  • Cam Talbot G | CLB

Blue Jackets' Cam Talbot: Patrolling home net

Talbot will draw the home start in Tuesday's clash against the Avalanche, per Aaron Portzline of The Athletic.

Talbot will get his first game reps since Oct. 27 in Tuesday's clash after Jet Greaves drew the start in each of the Blue Jackets' last two outings. Overall, the 39-year-old Talbot has a 3-2-0 record, a 2.83 GAA and an .894 save percentage across six appearances this season. With Greaves struggling to find the win column, Talbot remains fantasy relevant in deep leagues as one of the NHL's most-effective backups. For Tuesday's outing, however, he's best left out of fantasy lineups given his matchup against the league's top offense.
