Chris Rodriguez Jr. RB | WAS
Commanders' Chris Rodriguez: Suiting up Monday
Rodriguez (calf) is active for Monday's game against the Bears.
Despite not practicing in any capacity due to a calf injury in advance of this contest, Rodriguez will be available to the Commanders offense, but in what role remains to be seen. Washington didn't elevate a running back from the practice squad Monday, instead opting to bring up two wide receivers to support a banged-up group, so Rodriguez seemingly has a good chance to mix into the backfield behind Jacory Croskey-Merritt along with Jeremy McNichols. In three prior outings with that trio available, Rodriguez racked up 23 carries for 105 yards and no touchdowns.

Quintin Morris TE | JAC
Jaguars' Quintin Morris: Ruled out for Week 7
Morris (groin) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Rams.
Morris will not travel with the team to London this week. With Morris joining Brenton Strange (quadriceps) on the shelf, the Jaguars figure to roll with Hunter Long, Johnny Mundt and possibly practice-squad addition Jordan Akins at tight end versus Los Angeles.

Colston Loveland TE | CHI
Bears' Colston Loveland: Back in action Monday
Loveland (hip) is listed as active Monday at Washington.
Loveland last suited up during a Week 3 win against the Cowboys, when he injured his hip early on and was forced to miss the Bears' Week 4 victory at Las Vegas. Following the team's Week 5 bye, the rookie first-rounder followed up back-to-back limited sessions with a full practice Saturday, paving the way for his return to action. Loveland likely will continue to play a distant second to Cole Kmet in Chicago's pecking order at tight end moving forward.

Fred Warner MLB | SF
49ers' Fred Warner: Undergoing surgery Tuesday
Warner (ankle) will undergo season-ending surgery Tuesday, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.
Coach Kyle Shanahan said the hope is Warner will be ready in time for training camp next summer after he suffered a dislocated and fractured ankle in Sunday's loss to the Bucs. Tatum Bethune projects to full Warner's hole in the defense moving forward this season, but the 49ers could look for outside reinforcements on defense after losing both Warner and Nick Bosa (knee) to season-ending injuries.

Deebo Samuel WR | WAS
Commanders' Deebo Samuel: Active in Week 6
Samuel (heel) is listed as active Monday against the Bears.
Samuel has been dealing with a bruised heel for two weeks running, and the issue capped him to just one limited practice (Friday) during Week 6 prep. Coach Dan Quinn told Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post on Saturday that the Commanders were going to "take it into Monday" regarding Samuel, and his status now has been confirmed as the team posts its list of inactives. Despite playing through the pain in a Week 5 win at the Chargers, Samuel paced Washington wide receivers in offensive snap share (78 percent) on his way to an 8-96-1 line on 11 targets. With both Terry McLaurin (quadriceps) and Noah Brown (groin/knee) out yet again, Samuel is positioned to serve as QB Jayden Daniels' top pass catcher for a second straight game.

Rashee Rice WR | KC
Chiefs' Rashee Rice: Suspension lifted
Rice's suspension has been lifted by the NFL, per the league's official transaction log, which paves the way for the wideout to be available for Sunday's game against the Raiders.
While the Chiefs have been granted a roster exemption for Rice that expires October 20, and will thus need to officially activate him by Saturday in order for him to play in Week 7, at this time there's no reason to believe that won't occur. The looming return of Rice should provide a major boost to the offense of the 3-3 Chiefs, and assuming no issues at practice this week, the 2023 second-rounder should immediately step into a prominent role in a WR corps that also includes Xavier Worthy, Hollywood Brown, JuJu Smith-Schuster and Tyquan Thornton.

Brandon Aiyuk WR | SF
49ers' Brandon Aiyuk: Still no timetable to practice
Coach Kyle Shanahan said Monday that Aiyuk (knee) is getting "closer and closer" to being able to practice, but the 49ers don't have a specific timeline for the wide receiver to do so, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.
Aiyuk remains in recovery mode from the ACL and MCL tears that he suffered in his right knee Week 7 of last season, instead residing on the reserve/PUP list to this point in the campaign. Per David Lombardi of SFStandard.com, Shanahan added, "I always look around Week 10, but I'm not putting an exact date on it." As of Week 6, Aiyuk's only notable on-field work occurred in mid-September, when he was seen running while fellow 49ers wide receivers worked in individual drills, per Wagoner.

Ricky Pearsall WR | SF
49ers' Ricky Pearsall: Could practice Wednesday
Coach Kyle Shanahan said Monday that Pearsall (knee) will be evaluated Wednesday to see if he'll be able to practice this week, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.
Pearsall has missed two weeks of practice since injuring the PCL in his right knee Week 4 against the Jaguars, but like QB Brock Purdy, the wide receiver resumed conditioning work on the side last Thursday, indicating that he's making progress in his recovery. Wednesday's practice report will reveal whether or not Pearsall was able to mix into drills, but the 49ers appear to be getting healthier, with Purdy and TE George Kittle (hamstring) all potentially returning to practice in the near future.
-
Brock Purdy QB | SF
49ers' Brock Purdy: May practice Wednesday
Coach Kyle Shanahan said Monday that Purdy (toe) will be evaluated Wednesday to see if the quarterback will be able to practice this week, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.
Since aggravating a turf toe injury Week 4, Purdy hasn't mixed into any drills, but he resumed conditioning work on the side last Thursday, signaling that he's making progress in his recovery. He's missed four games in all due to the health concern (Weeks 2-3 and 5-6), with backup Mac Jones filling in well during Purdy's absence. If Purdy is able to practice Wednesday, he could be on a path to return to action this coming Sunday versus the Falcons.

Garrett Wilson WR | NYJ
Jets' Garrett Wilson: Could miss a couple of weeks
An MRI revealed that Wilson suffered a hyper-extended knee Sunday, with the wideout reportedly expected to miss a couple of weeks, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.
We'll await confirmation from the team, but at a minimum it looks like the Jets are in line to be without their top pass-catcher this weekend against the Panthers. If that's the case, Josh Reynolds, Arian Smith, Allen Lazard (personal) and Tyler Johnson would be candidates to see added WR reps in Wilson's absence.
