If this visit goes well and Martin gets another shot in Philadelphia, he'd face an uphill battle for a spot on the team's 53-man roster, having played just 34 special-teams snaps last season in Baltimore.

Martin was waived by the Eagles with the same designation earlier in June before re-signing with the club just two days later, so it's possible he winds up back in the fold at some point. As long as he does remain gone, Chance Campbell is a candidate to pick up the leftover practice reps.

Martin was elevated from the practice squad each of the past three weeks and tallied 34 special-teams snaps for the Ravens during that span, recording five tackles. However, it appears he tore his ACL on Thanksgiving against Cincinnati, and he will thus see his campaign come to a close. The typical recovery time from ACL surgery is at least nine months, so Martin may not be ready for training camp next year.
