Marvin Mims WR | DEN
Broncos' Marvin Mims: Doesn't play vs. Atlanta
Mims (undisclosed) did not play in the Broncos' 27-7 preseason win over the Falcons on Friday.
Mims is working through an undisclosed injury and joined fellow wideouts Jaylen Waddle (leg) and Michael Bandy on the sidelines for Friday's preseason opener. Once he's cleared to practice fully, Mims will resume competing against Pat Bryant and Troy Franklin for the WR3 role behind Waddle and Courtland Sutton. Even if he's relegated to WR4 or WR5, Mims should still see the field plenty as a returner on kickoffs and punts.

Jalen McMillan WR | TB
Buccaneers' Jalen McMillan: Doesn't play Friday vs. NYJ
McMillan (knee) did not play in Friday's 26-14 preseason win over the Jets.
McMillan has been working through a knee issue over the past couple of weeks, and he joined fellow wideouts Emeka Egbuka (toe), Chris Godwin, Tez Johnson (groin), Kameron Johnson and David Sills on the sidelines for Friday's exhibition game. McMillan has been cleared to participate in individual drills in practice, but it remains to be seen whether he's available for the Buccaneers' second preseason game against the Chiefs on Saturday, Aug. 22. With Mike Evans now in San Francisco, McMillan is projected to serve as Tampa Bay's WR3 behind Egbuka and Godwin.

Cade Otton TE | TB
Buccaneers' Cade Otton: Idle for preseason opener
Otton did not play in Friday's 24-16 preseason win over the Jets.
Otton was the only Buccaneers tight end to not suit up Friday, with rookie sixth-rounder Bauer Sharp leading the position group with 28 snaps on offense, followed by Devin Culp (21). None of the Bucs' key skill starters played, but Otton and the rest of the first-team offense could see some action against the Chiefs on Saturday, Aug. 22. The fifth-year tight end is looking to build off a 2025 campaign in whichh he caught 59 passes (on 81 targets) for 572 yards and a touchdown over 16 regular-season games.

Kenneth Gainwell RB | TB
Buccaneers' Kenny Gainwell: Idle for Friday's exhibition contest
Gainwell did not play in the Buccaneers' 24-16 preseason win over the Jets on Friday.
Both Gainwell and Bucky Irving, the Bucs' top running backs on the depth chart, observed Friday's game in street clothes while Josh Williams, Sean Tucker and Kadarius Calloway all saw action. Gainwell is coming off a breakout 2025 season with the Steelers, when he accumulated 1,023 yards from scrimmage on 187 touches across 17 regular-season games. He caught 73 passes (on 85 targets) last year with Pittsburgh, and he figures to see a sizable role in Tampa Bay's passing game for the upcoming season.

Greg Dulcich TE | MIA
Dolphins' Greg Dulcich: Plays 13 snaps vs. Washington
Dulcich played 13 snaps on offense but didn't show up in the box score otherwise during the Dolphins' 20-7 preseason loss to the Commanders on Friday.
Rookie third-rounder Will Kacmarek was listed as the Dolphins' starter in Friday's exhibition game and finished with 19 snaps on offense, second-most on the team behind Cole Turner (20). Dulcich inked a one-year deal with the Dolphins in March after appearing in 10 regular-season games for the team last year, finishing with 26 catches (on 33 targets) for 335 yards and one score. He demonstrated chemistry with quarterback Malik Willis during OTAs and minicamp, and Dulcich could see an uptick in production given the lack of top-end names in the Dolphins' wide receiver corps.

Jaxson Dart QB | NYG
Giants' Jaxson Dart: Expected to play Saturday
Dart and most of the Giants starters are expected to play in Saturday's preseason opener against the Vikings, Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com reports.
Dart and the other starters shouldn't see more than one or two series during Saturday's exhibition contest, but it will be the first time head coach John Harbaugh coaches from the sidelines for the Giants after an 18-season tenure with the Ravens. Dart is looking to build off a solid rookie campaign in which he completed 63.7 percent of passes for 2,272 yards, 15 touchdowns and five interceptions while turning 86 carries into 487 yards and nine scores across 14 regular-season games (12 starts).

Bijan Robinson RB | ATL
Falcons' Bijan Robinson: Doesn't play Friday
Robinson did not play in the Falcons' 27-7 preseason loss to the Broncos on Friday.
Robinson dressed and warmed up pregame but observed Friday's exhibition contest from the sidelines. He was the only Falcons running back to not suit up, as Brian Robinson played in each of the first two offensive series while Tyler Goodson led all Atlanta RB's with 24 snaps on offense. Per Will McFadden and Tori McElhaney of the Falcons' official site, Robinson is still in ramp-up mode after recently returning to practice, so he could play in Atlanta's next preseason game, which takes place Saturday, Aug. 22, against Indianapolis.

Josh Pitsenberger RB | HOU
Texans' Josh Pitsenberger: Nursing ankle injury
Pitsenberger will be sidelined for a "couple weeks" due to an ankle injury, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Pitsenberger may have picked up the injury during the Texans' 27-7 loss to the Chargers in Thursday's preseason game, when he turned nine carries into 33 yards while playing 25 snaps (20 on offense, five on special teams). If the two-week recovery timeline is accurate, then Pitsenberger would be out for this Thursday's exhibition game against the Raiders, though he could be back for the Texans' preseason finale against the Panthers on Friday, Aug. 28.

Ollie Gordon II RB | MIA
Dolphins' Ollie Gordon: Impressive with seven carries
Gordon rushed seven times for 39 yards and didn't bring in his only target in the Dolphins' 20-7 preseason loss to the Commanders on Friday.
Gordon began seeing touches alongside Jaylen Wright during the Dolphins' second possession. The second-year back averaged just 2.8 yards per carry as a rookie in 2025, and Gordon looked particularly impressive Friday while recording nine- and 12-yard runs. He'll continue his battle for the No. 2 running back job with Wright behind De'Von Achane in Miami's second preseason game on Saturday, Aug. 22 at home against the Giants.

Jaylen Wright RB | MIA
Dolphins' Jaylen Wright: Six carries in preseason loss
Wright rushed six times for 22 yards and failed to bring in his only target in the Dolphins' 20-7 preseason loss to the Commanders on Friday. He also returned one kickoff for no gain.
Wright came into the contest on the Dolphins' second possession and was immediately a focal point, as he was targeted on a deep pass by Quinn Ewers to open the drive and then rattled off a 13-yard run the very next play. Wright found running room at a premium on the rest of his carries while splitting time with Ollie Gordon, who he's trying to hold off for the No. 2 running back job behind De'Von Achane. Wright and Gordon should both continue to feature fairly heavily in Miami's second preseason game, which comes Saturday, Aug. 22 at home against the Giants.
