Jalon Walker DE | ATL
Falcons' Jalon Walker: Returning to action Sunday
Walker (groin) is active for Sunday's game against the Patriots, Tori McElhaney of the Falcons' official site reports.
Walker missed the past two games due to a groin injury but will return to action Sunday after logging a trio of limited sessions during Week 9 prep. With Leonard Floyd (hamstring) also available, Walker may be in a rotation with Floyd, Arnold Ebiketie and fellow rookie James Pearce.

Brock Purdy QB | SF
49ers' Brock Purdy: Inactive again in Week 9
Purdy (toe) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Giants, Briana Jeannel of the 49ers' official site reports.
The 49ers have optimism that Purdy will be able to return to action for a Week 10 matchup with the Rams, but the signal-caller's lingering turf toe injury will keep him from starting for the seventh time in eight weeks. Mac Jones will once again direct the San Francisco offense while Adrian Martinez serves as the 49ers' No. 2 quarterback. Notably, the 49ers aren't listing Purdy as their emergency No. 3 quarterback, so he won't be available even if Jones and/or Martinez are forced out of Sunday's contest due to injury.

Leonard Floyd DE | ATL
Falcons' Leonard Floyd: Good to go Sunday
Floyd (hamstring) is active for Sunday's game against the Patriots, Tori McElhaney of the Falcons' official site reports.
Floyd didn't practice Wednesday but logged limited sessions Thursday and Friday before drawing a questionable tag. He's yet to miss a game this season, but his last sack came in Week 4 against Washington. Floyd may see slightly fewer snaps, as rookie Jalon Walker (groin) will be active after missing the past two games.

Ben Sims TE | MIN
Vikings' Ben Sims: Healthy scratch Sunday
Sims (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Lions.
The tight end was claimed off waivers by the Vikings on Monday and appeared to have a chance to play, with Josh Oliver dealing with a foot injury. Oliver is also inactive, but the Vikings are riding with T.J. Hockenson, Ben Yurosek and Nick Vannett for Sunday's contest. Vannett was elevated from the practice squad Saturday.

Jessie Bates III FS | ATL
Falcons' Jessie Bates: Cleared to play Week 9
Bates (knee) is active for Sunday's game against the Patriots, Tori McElhaney of the Falcons' official site reports.
Bates suffered a knee injury during the Falcons' Week 8 loss to the Dolphins. He was a limited participant in each practice during Week 9 prep but has been given the green light to suit up. Bates has yet to miss a game this season, recording 45 tackles (19 solo) across seven games.

Metellus has started all seven games this season, recording 41 tackles (25 solo) and four pass breakups, including a pair of interceptions.

Nate Carter RB | ATL
Falcons' Nathan Carter: Healthy scratch Week 9
Carter (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Patriots, Marc Raimondi of ESPN.com reports.
Carter played two snaps on offense during the Falcons' Week 8 loss against the Dolphins and turned two carries into 14 yards. However, the undrafted rookie will be a healthy scratch for Sunday's contest in New England, as the Falcons go with Bijan Robinson and Tyler Allgeier as their two active running backs.

Andrew Van Ginkel OLB | MIN
Vikings' Andrew Van Ginkel: Active for Week 9
Van Ginkel (neck) is active for Sunday's game against the Lions.
Van Ginkel has missed the past four games due to a neck injury, but he practiced in full during Week 9 prep and will return to action for a divisional showdown in Detroit. The star pass rusher recorded 2.0 sacks in limited action during Week 3 against the Bengals before being knocked out of the contest, and he was a menace last season, notching 11.5 sacks, two interceptions and a fumble recovery. Van Ginkel also has four career defensive touchdowns, two of which came in 2024.

Brian O'Neill OT | MIN
Vikings' Brian O'Neill: Cleared to play Sunday
O'Neill (knee) is active for Sunday's game against the Lions.
Despite being listed as questionable, O'Neill was expected to suit up after logging a full practice Friday. However, his effectiveness may be in question. He's been dealing with a knee issue since late September, missing two contests, including last Thursday's blowout loss to the Chargers.

Christian Darrisaw OT | MIN
Vikings' Christian Darrisaw: Good to go vs. Lions
Darrisaw (knee) is active for Sunday's game against the Lions.
After aggravating a knee injury last Thursday against the Chargers, Darrisaw opened Week 9 prep as a full practice participant Wednesday before sitting out Thursday's session. He returned to the field Friday as a limited participant and was given a questionable tag. However, it always appeared like he was going to give it a go against a divisional rival on the road.
