  • Patriots' Jack Westover: Signs ERFA tender

Westover signed his exclusive-rights free-agent tender with the Patriots on Tuesday. It was merely a formality for the 26-year-old fullback. Westover has touched the ball just one time in 20 career regular-season games while logging 246 offensive snaps in that span.

  • Patriots' Jack Westover: Tendered by New England

The Patriots are tendering Westover, who was an exclusive rights free agent, Mark Daniels of MassLive reports Monday. Westover will be under contract with the team for 2026 once he signs his tender. He is used almost exclusively as a blocker at fullback and tight end in addition to contributing on special teams. Westover has one catch in 20 regular-season NFL games.

  • Patriots' Jack Westover: All set for Week 18

Westover (ankle) is active for Sunday's contest against the Dolphins. Westover was dealing with an ankle injury at practice throughout the week, but he'll now ultimately be able to give it a go in Week 18. The fullback hasn't logged a single carry this season, but his value is evident as a blocker in the team's rushing attack.

  • Patriots' Jack Westover: Working through ankle injury

Westover (ankle) did not practice Wednesday. Westover was able to overcome an illness to play in the Patriots' Week 17 win over the Jets, but it appears the second-year fullback picked up an ankle injury in the process. He'll have two more chances to return to practice in at least a limited capacity heading into Sunday's regular-season finale against the Dolphins.

  • Patriots' Jack Westover: Signed to Patriots' active roster

New England signed Westover from the practice squad to the active roster Saturday, Chris Mason of The Springfield Republican reports. Westover signed with the Patriots' practice squad in early October after being waived by the Seahawks in late August with an injury settlement due to an undisclosed issue. The undrafted free agent out of Washington was elevated to the Patriots' active roster twice and played mostly on special teams. Assuming he's active for Sunday's regular-season finale against the Bills, Westover will provide depth at the tight end position behind Hunter Henry (foot), Austin Hooper and Jaheim Bell.

  • Jack Westover: Returns to practice squad

Westover reverted to New England's practice squad Monday. Westover played eight snaps on special teams during Sunday's loss to the Cardinals but failed to record any stats. This was the third time this season he was elevated to play, and the Patriots will need to sign Westover to the active roster in order for him to see the field again.

  • Patriots' Jack Westover: Promoted from practice squad

Westover was elevated from the practice squad Saturday ahead of Sunday's game against the Cardinals, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports. This is the second elevation for the former Washington alum, and he's expected to add depth on special teams. He made his NFL debut in Week 12 against the Dolphins, logging one snap on offense and 13 on special teams.

  • Jack Westover: Reverts to practice squad

Westover reverted to the Patriots' practice squad Monday, per the NFL's transaction log. Westover served as the Patriots' No. 4 tight end during Sunday's 30-7 loss to the Dolphins. He logged 14 snaps (one on offense, 13 on special teams) in that contest and did not record a stat.

  • Jack Westover: Let go with injury settlement

The Seahawks waived Westover (undisclosed) from injured reserve with an injury settlement Friday, John Boyle of the team's official site reports. Westover signed with the Seahawks in April as an undrafted free agent. The Washington product played in the preseason opener against the Chargers on Aug. 10, but his unspecified injury kept him out of the following two exhibition contests. The injury settlement allows Westover to sign with another team once he is fully healthy.
