Steelers' Michael Pittman: Paces team with 58 yards
Pittman caught all three of his targets for 58 yards in Sunday's 20-13 win over the Falcons.
While Pittman was sixth on the team with three targets, seeing just a 7.5 percent target share on Aaron Rodgers' 40 throws, the newest Steelers wideout paced the team with his 58 yards. Rodgers dropped back to pass 42 times against Atlanta, and Pittman's 39 routes were second on the team behind DK Metcalf's 42. Pittman's ability closer to the line of scrimmage as a possession wideout aligns better with Rodgers, who likes to work the ball out quickly. Pittman will have a tough date with the Patriots next Sunday.

Steelers' Michael Pittman: Ready to go for Week 1
Pittman (hamstring) didn't appear Wednesday on the Steelers' first Week 1 injury report, Teresa Varley of the team's official site reports.
Pittman and DK Metcalf (undisclosed) missed time in training camp and the preseason due to their injuries, but the Steelers will have both of their top wideouts available heading into Sunday's season opener versus the Falcons. With running back Kenny Gainwell moving on to Tampa Bay this offseason after a 73-catch season with Pittsburgh in 2025, Pittman will be a strong candidate to absorb some of the vacated short- and intermediate-area targets from quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

Steelers' Michael Pittman: Expected to be fine for Week 1
Pittman (hamstring) is expected to be ready for Week 1 against the Falcons, Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com reports.
Like teammate DK Metcalf (undisclosed), Pittman has missed a bunch of practice time in training camp and didn't see any preseason action. However, Pittman was back on the practice field last week and now will have the next couple weeks to get ramped up for the Week 1 opener. Acquired from the Colts over the offseason, Pittman is expected to push Metcalf for the team lead in targets this season, but it's fair to wonder about Pittman's chemistry with Aaron Rodgers right out of the gates.

Steelers' Michael Pittman: Present at practice Monday
Pittman (right ankle) was in pads and going through stretching during Monday's practice, Alan Saunders of Steelers Now reports.
After missing practice time since Aug. 8, Pittman at least was back on the field for the early portion of Monday's session. Pittman joins DK Metcalf (undisclosed) among notable Steelers to return to the practice field Monday after missing some time. The development offers a positive step for the Steelers' big offseason acquisition, though it doesn't confirm that he has resumed full practice work. Still, Pittman has time to get back to full-go before the season kicks off Sunday, Sept. 13 versus the Falcons.

Steelers' Michael Pittman: Dealing with minor hamstring injury
Pittman's absence from practice that stems back to last week is due to a hamstring issue, Nick Farabaugh of PennLive.com reports.
Pittman left practice Saturday, Aug. 8, with some sort of right leg injury and has been sidelined in the meantime, but the nature of the issue wasn't clarified until this week. Meanwhile, fellow WR DK Metcalf also has been tending to an undisclosed health concern during most of that stretch. Pittsburgh likely will continue to take a cautious approach with its top two receivers with a Week 1 matchup against the Falcons on Sunday, Sept. 13, in mind. Per Farabaugh, there's no concern regarding Pittman's status for that contest.
