A.J. Brown WR | NE
Eagles' A.J. Brown: Not playing Saturday
Brown isn't expected to play in Saturday's preseason game in Baltimore, Jeff McLane of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
The Eagles starters aren't available for the team's exhibition opener, meaning Brown and DeVonta Smith will yield wide receiver reps to the likes of Quez Watkins, Olamide Zaccheaus and Devon Allen. Brown's next opportunity for game action is this coming Thursday versus the Browns.

Allen Robinson WR | DET
Steelers' Allen Robinson: Not targeted in preseason opener
Robinson wasn't targeted during Friday's 27-17 preseason win over the Buccaneers.
Robinson worked with the starters during Friday's matchup but wasn't targeted during his first game action with his new club. However, all three of Pittsburgh's top receivers played under 10 snaps, so there weren't many targets to go around early in the game. Robinson has been working from the slot during training camp, and it wouldn't be surprising to see him operate with the starting offense early in the regular season.

Odell Beckham Jr. WR | NYG
Ravens' Odell Beckham: Unlikely to play Saturday
Beckham isn't in line to play in Saturday's preseason game against the Eagles, Jonas Shaffer of TheBaltimoreBanner.com reports.
Beckham's debut as a Raven will have to wait until Monday, Aug. 21 in Washington, at the earliest. Baltimore's offense also will be without Nelson Agholor in its exhibition opener, and Rashod Bateman seems unlikely to play after the team activated him from the active/PUP list Wednesday, which would leave rookie first-round pick Zay Flowers, Devin Duvernay, Laquon Treadwell, James Proche and Tylan Wallace as some of the options at wide receiver.

Jared Wayne WR | HOU
Texans' Jared Wayne: Dealing with leg injury
Wayne didn't practice Saturday due to a leg injury, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
A rookie UDFA out of Pittsburgh, Wayne played 16 snaps (12 offensive) during Thursday's preseason win over the Patriots and caught his only target for 19 yards. However, the 6-foot-3 wideout presumably tweaked his leg during the contest and will miss some time. If he doesn't return to practice over the next few days, Wayne likely won't be able to suit up for next Saturday's exhibition against the Dolphins.

Cephus Johnson III WR | TB
Buccaneers' Cephus Johnson: Signed by Tampa Bay
Tampa Bay signed Johnson on Saturday, Greg Auman of Fox Sports repots.
Johnson, a rookie UDFA out of Southeastern Louisiana, started his NFL career with the Vikings, but he was let go Monday. At 6-foot-4 with a 4.57 40-yard dash, Johnson has the size and speed to play at the NFL level, but he's new to the wideout position, as he played quarterback in college. The 23-year-old figures to have an uphill battle to land a Week 1 roster spot with Tampa Bay.

David Durden WR | DAL
Cowboys' David Durden: In concussion protocol
Durden will not suit up for Saturday's preseason-opening matchup with the Jaguars due to a concussion, Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports.
Durden presumably suffered the concussion recently at practice. The undrafted free agent is competing against a plethora of pass catchers in an already crowded Cowboys wide receiver room, so his absence is not advantageous for his chances going forward. He will need to clear the league's concussion protocols before getting the opportunity to suit up for any game going forward.

Garrett Wilson WR | NYJ
Jets' Garrett Wilson: Not available Saturday
Wilson (ankle) won't play in Saturday's preseason contest against the Panthers, Andy Vasquez of The Bergen Record reports.
Despite returning to team drills this week, the Jets are still being cautious with Wilson after he tweaked his ankle during training camp. Breece Hall (knee) and Aaron Rodgers are also sidelined, so Zach Wilson will lead the Jets' offense and presumably rely heavily on Allen Lazard, Corey Davis and Mecole Hardman.
-
Corey Davis WR | NYJ
Jets' Corey Davis: In uniform Saturday
Davis is suited up for Saturday's preseason contest against the Panthers, Brian Costello of the New York Post reports.
Davis didn't play in the Jets' first exhibition, but it looks like he'll get a taste of game action Saturday along with Allen Lazard and Mecole Hardman. However, the Jets will be without Aaron Rodgers, Garrett Wilson (ankle), Randall Cobb and Breece Hall (knee), so Davis should be a top target for Zach Wilson versus Carolina.
-
Allen Lazard WR | NYJ
Jets' Allen Lazard: Suited up Saturday
Lazard is suited up for Saturday's preseason game versus the Panthers, Brian Costello of the New York Post reports.
Lazard didn't play in the Jets' preseason opener last Thursday, but it looks like he'll get some game action Saturday along with fellow wideouts Corey Davis and Mecole Hardman. Aaron Rodgers isn't expected to play, so all three veteran wideouts will look to develop chemistry with Zach Wilson, who figures to get an extended look for a second straight exhibition.

DJ Moore WR | BUF
Bears' DJ Moore: Scores in Chicago preseason debut
Moore caught his only target for a 62-yard touchdown in Saturday's preseason game against Tennessee.
Moore was an after-the-catch monster both at Carolina in the NFL and at Maryland in college, so the skills he demonstrated on his 62-yard screen pass touchdown were nothing new. It certainly is something new for the Chicago offense, however, and provides a direct example of how the Bears offense could be significantly improved in 2023. Plays like that are a reminder of why Moore will likely be Chicago's lead target in 2023, and with considerable distance between himself and whichever second-leading pass catcher emerges.
