  • Greg Dulcich TE | MIA

Greg Dulcich: Fails to stick with Giants

New York waived Dulcich on Tuesday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.

Dulcich put together a productive preseason with the Giants, but he won't stick around on the team's 53-man roster. The 2022 third-round pick could be a candidate to resurface on New York's practice squad. He suited up for four-regular season games with the Broncos last season before being waived. He was then claimed by the Giants, with whom he logged another five regular-season appearances. All 12 targets Dulcich drew last year came during his time with Denver, of which he secured just five for 28 yards.

  • Irv Smith TE | HOU

Texans' Irv Smith: Dealing with ankle injury

Smith has been diagnosed with a sprained ankle, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

Wilson adds that Smith could be placed on injured reserve. The tight end played 34 offensive snaps this preseason and secured all six of his targets for 52 yards.

  • Jelani Woods TE | NYJ

Jelani Woods: Cut loose by Indy

The Colts are cutting Woods, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.

Woods, a 2022 third-round pick, put up a 25-312-3 receiving line as a rookie but then missed the past two seasons due to a severe hamstring injury and turf toe. The Colts moved on in the meantime, drafting Tyler Warren in the first round this spring.

  • Treyton Welch: Cut by New Orleans

The Saints waived Welch on Tuesday, Ross Jackson of WWL Louisiana reports.

Undrafted out of Wyoming last year, Welch played 53 offensive snaps this preseason and caught six of his seven targets for 65 yards. He's yet to appear in a regular-season NFL game.

  • Jermaine Terry: Cut with injury designation

The Giants waived Terry (undisclosed) with an injury designation Tuesday, Dan Duggan of The Athletic reports.

According to Duggan, Terry has been dealing with a "minor" injury. The undrafted rookie tight end missed the final preseason game. He logged 38 offensive snaps across the first two exhibitions, catching one pass for 21 yards.

  • Johnny Lumpkin: Cut by Green Bay

The Packers waived Lumpkin on Tuesday, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.

Lumpkin played 49 offensive snaps during the preseason and caught three passes for 26 yards on four targets. He's yet to appear in a regular-season NFL game.

  • Devin Culp TE | TB

Buccaneers' Devin Culp: Three grabs to close out preseason

Culp secured all three targets for 33 yards and lost a fumble in the Buccaneers' 23-19 preseason loss to the Bills on Saturday night.

The athletic tight end played a position-high 20 snaps from scrimmage and made good use of his three targets, but his turnover late in the third quarter came in Bills territory. Nevertheless, Culp appears to be a virtual lock for the 53-man roster as a complementary pass-catching option alongside No. 1 tight end Cade Otton, following a solid training camp and preseason that have earned him accolades from new offensive coordinator Josh Grizzard.

  • Qadir Ismail TE | CHI

Qadir Ismail: Cut by Las Vegas

Ismail was waived by the Raiders on Monday.

Ismail signed with the Raiders in April after the spending the 2024 campaign as a member of the Ravens' practice squad. The tight end caught four passes for 42 yards over two preseason contests with Las Vegas. If he goes unclaimed on waivers, Ismail's next opportunity may be with the Raiders' practice squad.

  • Tyler Mabry TE | CAR

Tyler Mabry: Let go from IR

Mabry was waived from injured reserve after reaching an injury settlement with the Panthers on Monday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

Mabry was placed on IR by Carolina on Aug. 18 with an undisclosed injury, which would have sidelined him for the entire season. Now that he's a free agent, the tight end can pass a physical and sign elsewhere at any point and play in 2025.

  • JJ Galbreath TE | PIT

    J.J. Galbreath: Cut by Pittsburgh

The Steelers waived Galbreath on Monday, Teresa Varley of the team's official site reports.

Galbreath appeared in all three of the Steelers' preseason games and finished with three catches (on five targets) for 23 yards. He wasn't able to make Pittsburgh's 53-man roster, but if he clears waivers, the undrafted rookie out of South Dakota could remain with the team as a member of the practice squad.
